Why implement that kind power in first place?! I don't get it. As I see, it's really dangerous. What about "+"s? Not so much. We can create a poll in forum.

I like it. Let's use Voting System (just voting) to ask if we need this. And implement the rest only if we get 51%.
Strongly agree. First (and may be last) voting poll:

Should we turn this potential system of control off forever?

Only after that feature will be or gone, or fully opened.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Interesting. When I mentioned my concerns about this kind of voting system a few days ago, nobody seemed to care...
I may be missed that in 500+ topic.

So, when will Voting be implemented, after which block?
What is the plan for the next 2-3 features, which blocks are they introduced at?
Just to be ready, you know Smiley

I haven't seen Voting System code yet. We have Transparent Forging ready and now I'm digging thru Arbitrary Messages. Jean-Luc is reviewing version with TF. We'll know what block TF is activated on only after he completes this work.

I Love it!

NXT VPS Server Donations can be sent here: 6044921191674841550
At the end of each month I will donate some of them back to the community.
This is separate from my main wallet so you can keep track of them. I will keep them in there and only use them for hosting.

This is all so exciting. The more I ask questions and get answers, the more I see the bigger picture. Can't wait to have most important features implemented and with a nice GUI.

PS: registered a few more aliases today, turns out quite a few good ones are still left for grabbing.

BCNext called it Arbitrary Messages coz format of this messages is not defined. They contain raw hex numbers and it's up to an application how to interpret them.

We'll write history...

Anyway I still don't get why idea appeared in first place. It's real threat to decentralization. Genius manipulator'll create center for sure with such tool with time.

Nothing interesting on that thread. I already explained why all coins were created at once - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364239.msg4206645#msg4206645

I mean any decision:
"We need potential system of control"
"We don't need potential system of control"
will be historic.

But still: why idea appeared? How many benefits it have to cloud THREAT TO DECENTRALIZATION? I suppose VS came from creator of Nxt, right? How does it connect?

So when it claims I can generate the next block in 55 days, does that imply that's how long my coins need to sit to be Stake? What's my benefit to forge in the meantime? None?

Nxt gives unlimited possibilities. I mentioned destruction of coins to catch attention of the community*. Unlimited possibilities is a double-edged blade, we can hurt ourselves.

No. It shows ur current hit. After next block this will be changed. And then again and again, until u hit very close to 1 minute and then forge a block.

Now ROI% of forging lies near 0. If activity'll grow, situation can change. At any moment u've chance to hit the target. "55 days" — estimated time. May be u'll never generate a block, may be u'll generate next 10k blocks in a row.

Nxt gives unlimited possibilities.
Mind gives unlimited possibilities. And when I use any tool (my hands, my brain or Nxt) I wanna know what I'd expect from it. Is there benefits of VS against threat to decentralization? Or most of imaginable decisions gonna push us to some future center?

Anyone?

Cryptos appeared ang continue to grow to make double-edged blade of authority go away. Why we need another blade to be built-in?
