newcn,

After you click on withdraw it should show you a ripple address to send the NXT to. You just send it using the ripple wallet's send function. Peercover automatically knows that it is you that is sending it and it will convert the ripple NXT balance to actual NXT in your NXT account.

There will be status emails that notify you of start and completion of this process

If you notice the ripple address you are to send it to has a ?dt=<number>
That number is how the peercover server knows to send it to the NXT acct you put in
All fully automated, except for the part where you have to send back the ripple NXT to redeem it

I dunno what the argueing above is all about butbpseudo identity is enough for me, you dont have to know my life story and I dont have to know yours. Yet we can be as productive and active more than those who flaunt thier identities while they sit om thier fat asses.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

To everyone's delight, I am about to call it a night, though the street party in Montevideo is going full swing at 4am! Big change from the calm and relaxed Punta del Este of the last few days.

Anyway thanks to aldrin for his support of the non-founder dividend,
we also now have a small NXT strategic marketing group forming (more volunteers welcomed) and I am also looking for a volunteer who has stock analysis experience and/or someone with a real world brokers license, not to actually use, just for the experience. I want to make sure NXT has an investor relations group.

Like it or not, if we want the world to buy NXT, we need to make sure it is a good investment. I am advocating a Warren Buffet style fundamental investors. This alone will set NXT apart, but one the value investors start investing, we will see stable price growth. Not the crazy rollercoaster ride the speculators give us. Remember the value investors only buy when they see value, eg. discount to fair market value. This means if the price dips below what it is worth, the value investors come buying. They won't drive the price up to unsustainable highs. Slow gradual price appreciation that is sustainable does all of us much better than crazy high spike and subsequent correction.

G'nite all from Uruguay today!

Wiser and Newbie
I had all the same problems until I modified the xml file in the root subdirectory. There is a list of host IP addresses, not sure of latest one as I am on my travel laptop, but you put that in. Restart and it worked for at least 3 days before the memory leak killed it. Jan 3rd should have the 4.8 release with bug fixes to make it more stable.

James
I can't find this anywhere; anyone know? Why is this necessary? I even reinstalled and its still giving same error; let me log in briefly but showed a zero balance, so im both stuck and scared !
I am saying stuck, but I can get it to work, but it seems to stop working every day and I have to do something to fix it.

customers not going to like waiting 24 hours.

Agree. We need a normal client soft ASAP.

as an aside why do i need to be on the longest chain? shouldnt my transaction propagate across the whole network causing it to get included on real chains and orphan chains alike?

U need to see the longest chain to make sure that ur transaction wasn't already confirmed.

Would it ever be possible to make pools of some kind with Nxt?

Probably would help get more people interested if they could be able to generate more Nxt from forging. Instead of the real low balance holders seeing things like having to wait months to generate a block.

For example, I believe 6635869272840226493 is the account of the DGEX exchange(since there are about 415 pages of transactions for them...). They have generated 4,985 NXT in fee's earned up till now because of the balance that is held there. Maybe one could spread it at certain intervals based on how much Nxt was invested per account. Would there be a way to use that thinking in creating a pool of some kind?

Probably not but whateva   Tongue

BCNext doesn't support centralization. U should cooperate and implement pools by urself.

You think there's a reason why Sunny King wasn't able to achieve 100% proof of stake. Has Sunny King voiced his professional opinion on NxT? Or is HE the creator of NxT Roll Eyes

Good catch. Someone should contact Sunny King and get his opinion on Nxt. No matter if he is the creator or not.

The source is here, I only remember that in first days, there were more than 50 millions sold, in the forums, for a bargain prices Cheesy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4107001#msg4107001

+ Bitcoin data come from the web

I think you need to do more research and make sure this is right before you distribute your video.  Give me a few minutes to research something and I will get back to you.

I am very surprised.  I have just run a rough "audit" of the first month of dgex.com based on the (433 pages!!!) data at http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=100 for the dgex account of 6635869272840226493.  I think the data pretty conclusively shows that right at 228,000,000 million NXT coins have been deposited by around 810 deposits there since the exchange opened on November 28.  Since roughly 28,000,000 are still on deposit at the site, the rest or 200,000,000 million have indeed been withdrawn by around 3500 withdrawals.   If 50 million were indeed sold here in the forums outside of dgex.com, then it is a fact that within the past 30 days at least 25% of all NXT in existence has been exchanged to a new owner.   This is a nearly amazing number to me and something to throw in the face of anybody that calls NXT a scam.

Let me crunch the spreadsheet numbers some more and I will post some more interesting facts.

In the meantime, salsacz, not only have you made an excellent video, it is going to spread some very important truths and facts about NXT.   I say distribute it as widely as you can!!!

That is such an misleading statement. I can make 100 deposits and 100 withdrawals on DGEX and it's still the same person. You gotta check the unique addresses, and verify that they actually belong to unique individuals. I'm not saying that the number could be close to that, or higher, but you can't make these assumptions based on number of deposits/withdrawals alone.

This is all I'm gonna I'm going to speak on this, it is quite literally a waste of my time telling people to just look at the NXT blockchain to see the same conclusion anyone with common sense will find, then to be called a troll by founders and the developer.

Not going into your post content wise, i would like to go into it from a communication point of view.
I find it hard to believe that you are surprised by the reception you got on the forums.

Your first post starts with a HUGE pic of the blockchain with angry red ALLCAPS pointing out the unfairness.
Now, I'm not saying the system may or may not be inherently unfair. I am reserving judgement.

However, if from post ONE, you come in criticising, I as a mod or admin would also be taken aback and think "who the hell is this guy and why does he even post on a forum for a product he evidently doesn't trust?".

If someone would have done that on my forums, I'd basically ignore him as someone who barges into a pub and starting to complain about the bad quality of the establishment.

Contentwise you may be right, but you are doing yourself and your viewpoint a severe disservice by basically communicating extemely aggressively. And yes, at that point, the discussion will most probably nót go about content, but emotion.  Roll Eyes

One last thing, because I only just noticed it and it sorta ties in to your points..

...to be fair, you probably shouldn't base judgment on the content on forums and just draw your own conclusions, I mean for example, the proposal I made on nextcoin.org forum has been deleted,
per the print screen I made last night.. you know.. just in case.. hah.

https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1268.msg13727.html#msg13727

and a print screen from today.. same forum, gone...

btw you can see people on the next page reacting to the proposal, but I guess they decided it wasn't fit for their forum, or perhaps they'll say I deleted it. I did not.

those big red letters were the current font I had selected, sorry if it screamed agenda. peace.
and like my last post on nextcoin.org (before it was deleted)

see you in 6 months... Wink

Hey...relax Smiley

I was just trying to think of ways to help the people that complain about the time it takes to forge something with low balances. Following the way that people with low khash can pool together to get blocks along with those of high khash Tongue.

Didn't know it was centralizing though...sorry  Undecided
