i guess im just too dense but I dont get how its supposed to work.  I see that you send a message from your private account and the API gave you back a TXID but doesnt the receiver need to use their passphrase to decode it??  You example Ive just quoted just have get Transaction.  Is it not encrypted?

Do you have a white paper explaining the protocol?
I understand the code is not open source, right?

Thanks,
Ittay

Im going to tell him all the details on the source release and awful state of the whitepaper.  I dont believe the encryption stuff has changed since the earlier version of the client that was released and between what we are running now has it?

Hey NXTers!
I was with a bad cold and lost the action here since page 845 - almost 100 pages to catch on!

I have finished the last part of the giveaway - I can't post there because bybitcoin has locked it. He will post instead of me.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=347927.msg4373007#msg4373007

I have to correct bybitcoin because I had only 70K left - 40K went to Anon136 for his giveaway thread and 15K to maco for his android app. I promised I will give him 15K more when he finishes it but I am not sure that this is the case so I prefer to give those to the posters here.
In case maco delivers I will pay the remaining 15K to him from my personal funds.

So:

At the end of each month I will donate some of them back to the community.
This is separate from my main wallet so you can keep track of them. I will keep them in there and only use them for hosting.

Have you not read his credentials??? My response:

Ittay,

The source code for client version 0.4.7e was released 10 days ago, it is available at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4287127#msg4287127 and while there have been newer released versions which have not had source released, the signing algorithms that we need expert audit of have not changed.  And it is possible for a java decompiler to decompile the latest version 0.5.5 at http://download.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-client-0.5.5.zip if you so desire to do so.
http://download.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-client-0.5.5.zip

http://download.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-client-0.5.5.zip

Unfortunately there is no official white paper however there is very very early draft available at:
http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Whitepaper:Nxt#NXT:_a_peer-to-peer_digital_economy_system

But unfortunately, as I said, it is an extremely early version with no math/proofs in it.  There is also an article I am submitting to coindesk/bitcoinmagazine available at
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U8lMf-zpmfPYdMydSJ_NSlD5Pp9H4WYSGl-gjRwegW4

In detail, our lead developer has stated: "We need security review of Crypto and Curve25519 classes. Also Transaction.sign/verify and Block.sign/verify should be checked. And I would like to hear opinion if NRS algo could be vulnerable to attacks described in http://eprint.iacr.org/2007/357.pdf"

We can point you to the sections in the source code that are relevant to your critique should you be interested.

Thanks,

Avatar Creator and Signature Creator

Hey guys,

we from NXTarea.com created an avatar & signature creator. We currently have 5 designs for both. You can enter nicknames or text up to 16 symbols. The avatar size is 100x100, the signature size is 300x80. Smiley

This is to promote NXT further though the world wide web. We have to bring the NXT logo to everyone. Smiley

Currently avatars are deactivated on Bitcointalk.org because of the recent hack. I'm sure this will change in the future!

The avatar size on nextcoin.org is 65x65, not very nice. If someone want to contact the admin please do it, to change it to 100x100.

On forums.nxtcrypto.org it isn't allowed to use a .png avatar. I created a thread to let it changed. So please contribute to the thread! Smiley

Thank you very much.
