I think the reason why there are so many icos now is because people have figured out that making their own coins are not as hard as they thought that it would be. Now anyone can create a token on the ethereum network and launch their own ico hence there are so many of them and it is no surprise that most of them are scam coins anyway.

Some developers have really brilliant ideas, and some just want to hit the jackpot and not to develop the project although it is not a Scam ! In General, ico is beneficial to both sides if the project is good so there are a lot of them !

ICO is a new trend. There is a lot of hype around the ICO right now, although most of them are scams or just very unsuccessful projects.

Investors do not invest in all the ICO. Why do this? Or are you talking about speculators? Investors conduct closed negotiations. I think they require documents and intellectual property rights.

I'm afraid I can only agree with you. At the moment almost 90% of all ICOs are scam and that's really annoying. I can never to be 100% sure whether it is a serious ICO or once again a scam. And all this only because all the scam bags want to make more and more money. I am actually against KYC and regulation in the crypto area, but in the area of ICOs i am clearly in favour. Somehow it can't go on like this forever. Unfortunately you can also drive people out of the crypto area and that's bad for all of us.  |

Well, Its happen right now since btc hit $20k last year. Many people are develop their idea to enter in crypto world, which is make competition on any project will be violent. Then it make scammer joined to create their ICO as well, so we will difficult to choose what the true project one.

Too many ISOs begin because there is no system and regulatory bodies for both registration and conduct. Any good or scam can start an ISO project. Project developers have no fear of punishment for deception or failure.

It is very difficult to choose the right projects. There are many who want to call the project seriously and effectively. But there are more people who want to take advantage of the ICO for personal gain through fraudulent activity. Identifying effective ICOs requires careful consideration, insight, experience and a bit of luck. |

Don't invest in every single ICO. Majority of them is a scam, nothing more! Better find 3-5 potential 50-100x companies and invest in all of them for a long term.
Also you can select more projects and flip, fixing fast profit

ICO is very profitable business in my view, I think about some ideas sometimes too that I would start some ICO and we talk about it a lot with my friends. But to be successful, you need something really special and I don't have anything special yet...

I think it's because people want to make money fast and leave. So I don't really advise you to invest in that. |

I do not see a problem in a lot of ICO. This, on the contrary, gives the right of choice for the investor. The problem is that there are so many fraudulent projects. And this problem, if not solved, can put an end to ICO as a way of investing.

Having too many ICOs may not really be a major issue as this is very imperative for fund raising for projects.In my opinion, the major issues which I know is and has always been a problem is having too many scam ICOs out there. This should be a major concern for investors as it is painful for one to invest his or her hard earn money or time and eventually loose out completely as a result of either failed ICO or scam by a group of persons. Really painful and it becomes very important that every investors (either by bounty hunting or by using fiat) be careful and must ensure they do their due diligence before taking a bold step towards acquisition or campaigning.

Because of the popularity of cryptocurrency new crypto user has an increase. Almost everyday there is an new born ICO and you had point, it can cause failure od an ICO. In the otherside its good that crypto is becoming powerfull world wide. If the company is trying to create a good project, winning other projects. The plan should be very clear and elaborate.

of course, every company wants to get results with what they are doing. many of the ICO because too many companies that run and see the potential crypto as one great place. so the only reasonable if much ICO popping up and competition will certainly more and more.
Another thought is that ICO projects are similar to startups. Both the difference is that the traditional startup projects, they will have to have products for the project, there are business indicators, there are partners.
