Since your question is in concern with price speculation, I dont think there is altcoin currently that could replace Bitcoin and take the throne. Bitcoin is the king and there were many who claimed they are better but were never to prove the worth.

When it comes to use cases, yes there are a lot many alts which have better use cases rather than Bitcoin, for example EThereum, in terms of usage, Eth is more useful then Bitcoin, however, for the price it still have a long way to go.

all altcoins prices depends bitcoins price so altcoin never better then bitcoin. Personally, I think altcoins are not better than bitcoin because bitcoin has more potentials and it is valuable than altcoin. Though altcoins are very cheap and profitable if you hold them for long term as long as it is potential but will remain more valuable then them.

There are several altcoins that have more powerful technology than bitcoin but there are also many altcoins that have technology under bitcoin. Even most of the coins that have technology under bitcoin are just duplicating previous coin technology.
