Very disappointed in Antpool and Bitmain for not being ready for people who bought their miners and everything seems to be pretty dark right now. The Bytom wallet was interesting to say the least too...

So I also swapped the fans to Arctic F12 PWM. Got it quite silent. However my temps went to 55 PCB and 72 chip. I tried to find out what the max is for B3 but haven't found it anywhere, only other miners. Any info on that? Got temps down to 49/66 with some more ventilation.

Well, in my experience (as an electronics engineer), most processors can comfortably handle much higher temperatures, although sometimes other issues such as solder fatigue can develop over time at extreme temperatures, especially if temperatures fluctuate greatly. However, at temperatures below about 80 degrees C, it's unlikely that there will be any such issues, not unless build quality is very poor. It appears that the hashing chips used in the Antminer B3 are Sophon BM1680 neural processors: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3870665.0https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/bitmain/sophon/bm1680Datasheet: https://www.sophon.ai/drive/view.html?id=21The datasheet states: Operating temperature: 0~125°C I wouldn't recommend running the BM1680 anywhere near the upper temperature limit, due to the strain that may put on solder joints and surrounding components but, in my opinion, I would say it's unlikely any damage would result from continuously running it at temperatures below about 80 degrees C.

NEW FIRMWARE UPDATEBitmain just released two firmware updates (Assuming that both required to get all features). One for showing fan speed and reducing rejected shares and the other increases hash rate by ~33% avg !!!!!!!!!!! ( Getting 1040 H/S Average and 0 rejected shares) Simply go here https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=00720180519161243572MB78lOGz067A and download both firmwares. Flash you B3 with "Antminer-B3-20180519.tar.gz" first then after completing the upgrade flash it with "update_1000.tar.gz". Please note that my B3's are running a bit hotter after the update also assuming that they're consuming more energy (Can someone confirm this please).***NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THIS FIRMWARE BRICKED YOUR MINER. IT WORKED PERFECTLY FOR MY MINERS***Please give me some of them merits if this post helped you

I think first the upgrade and then the update ...
I did it the other way round now. Like listed on page. First firmware, then fix. Works too. But changing the frequency would be a good improvement too.

I agree. The units come with great fans. no need to put inferior fans on it. I now have mine running at 55% fan speed with temps 34-39

How did you modify your fan speeds to 55%?
