I'd stay away from investing on ICOs, actually I'd rather stay away from projects that are not already established, so you better invest your money on altcoins, they build a really volatile market but you can definitely get a good amount of profit.

for me you should be more analytics on the investment that you want, read the whitepaper or details of that project to make sure you profit will become more and bigger either BTC is one to put your money on it.. the potential rate on this is assured.

If this is the first time for you to invest, then I just advise you to learn trading by investing into some altcoin. all coin investment has its own risk, bitcoin has the lowest risk but the price is quite expensive.
