I have sent you 50000 coins, which is my personal action, worth 75 CNY, and we work together for the infinitecoin.

Is anyone running the headless client (infinitecoind) on a unix server? I may be able to come up with a script that rewards miners by adding fees to dummy transactions.

Okay, I have a basic script written now. If the mempool is empty (no other pending transactions), it sends funds back to itself (which includes a fee that the miner gets) then it waits for 2 minutes before doing the next check.

Trouble is the client is choosing to include a 100 IFC fee regardless of what I set the tx fee to be. I'm not sure if it's because my balance is small and fragmented or whether there is some other reason. I'll keep it going for now but with a small balance and losing 100 IFC each time I'm going to run out of funds in about 5 or 6 hours.

If you have a miner turn it on NOW! You will be seeing 100.xxx rewards right now.

If you want to help fund the "auto faucet" -> i86R5mEaP7SFGfuGhzvzguuRH4c98AefzQ  ... even just 10k or 20k will help.

Sent 5K.

Hi guys I don't want to hijack the thread but I had some questions and wondering if I can get some answers here.
- I mined some IFC 4 years ago and now trying to restore my wallet. I have the .dat file backed up. I downloaded the new wallet in mac and now syncing. I am not sure how to restore the old wallet in mac though? Anyone can help me in this matter? I would like to start mining or contribute to the network. I've a good amount of IFC sitting in my old wallet.
- What is the current status (plans/roadmap etc) of the project? It seems like we are trying to bring IFC back again.

Start at the beginning and work your way through this Op and you will find the answers that you seek.

Short answer - There is no roadmap because IFC ran out of road. This coin has no Dev team in place and there wont be one any time soon. Blame the community for that. It was always want want want. Take take take. The main Dev got tired of footing the bill himself. Read and learn because no one else does. When people get serious about this coin and not consider it some sort of pump 'n dump coin then maybe things can happen. Serious = money.

BTW, the Chinese exchanges should be ignored as they gamed investors. Whether they scammed or were incompetent is debatable; but either one is cause for concern. Again, it's all in this Op.

Optimism is at an all time low and is an example of how a greedy community killed a coin.

in mac finder
shift+command+G

enter path

~/library/applicationsupport/infinitecoin

that will get you into the new infinitecoin app folder - I THINK - verify this with other searches on how to do this - that you would replace the wallet.dat file in that folder with your backup and rename it wallet.dat

pls pls pls double check this

Quality post. But, I thought the Chinese exchanges were just being muscled by the Chinese state. I think now the Chinese exchanges have moved offshore now.

We also need to update CMC with the circulating supply information. It is equal to total supply, I know, but CMC will require a live link to the current supply. Where can I get this info to update CMC?

How are things going with this? If needed, I can create a live endpoint for the total supply once I've got a node running.

I have sent you 50000 coins, which is my personal action, worth 75 CNY, and we work together for the infinitecoin.

Thank you for that, I just noticed that my script was reporting a higher balance, so I came here to find out who donated.  Smiley

I have to do some more testing and tidying up of the script, but I think it should be possible to run this on multiple servers. With enough diversity it will be just like the network itself is rewarding 100 IFC every block.

Who else is running an IFC daemon on a unix server?

This is an example of how the auto-faucet works:

https://prohashing.com/explorer/Infinitecoin/e601a4a74393085c9ab4332ead24532515fa2694ebdb6d267d952bcde52e9694/

#1 (faucet transaction)
- 10,000 IFC sent back to own address (plus 100 IFC fee)
- 0.01963149 IFC change

#2 (coinbase reward)
- 0.00000011 IFC native block reward (dust)
- 100 IFC faucet fee

Total miner reward: 100.00000011 IFC

I'm not clear on how this works. My understanding is we'd want one faucet transaction per block, so I'm not sure how running the script on multiple servers will help. I'm planning to spin up a VPS and run the IFC daemon on it, just let me know how I can help

IFC is a 13 year old currency, and hope that foreign friends and Chinese friends to maintain IFC, so that it can become one of the mainstream currency.

Does the wallet work?

I always had problems syncing the wallet.

And do you think this coin can reach $0.01?

I think it will reach one yuan.

#1 (faucet transaction)
- 10,000 IFC sent back to own address (plus 100 IFC fee)
- 0.01963149 IFC change

#2 (coinbase reward)
- 0.00000011 IFC native block reward (dust)
- 100 IFC faucet fee

Total miner reward: 100.00000011 IFC

I'm not clear on how this works. My understanding is we'd want one faucet transaction per block, so I'm not sure how running the script on multiple servers will help. I'm planning to spin up a VPS and run the IFC daemon on it, just let me know how I can help

The script only kicks into action when the mempool is empty, so in theory only one dummy transaction should make it through each time - because now the mempool has a transaction in it - regardless of how many servers are running it. I need to add some randomness so that each server waits a slightly different period between checks, so we don't get 10 servers all seeing an empty mempool at the same time.

I had a power failure the other day and so it was a couple of days before I had the script going again. This is one reason there needs to be multiple faucets running concurrently.

Funds on my faucet are now depleted so we're back to dust for block rewards.
