Is there even an ETA on this?
The site is totally broken, people losing coins, bots running wild, deposits never showing up, i have witnessed a trade vanish i.e the balance was reduced and the trade never showed ....so it must be in the queue right?? no because another trade made later was processed as normal.

What is happening at that place right now? i would be careful making any trades or withdrawing or depositing anything. I think the db is totally falling over and there will be lost data...lost coins.

A week of it crawling and falling over and still no eta on this being fixed??

1. go back to logging out people who are idle asap.

2. block these bots that are injecting 1000's or orders into the book for small amounts.

3. Hire a tech team that can stop you having what is essentially a week of downtime

by the time the 5 new servers are shipped to you you will need 10 more

where is cryptsy even hosted?  why are you colo on this project?  why are you not in some dc that lays servers on within a few hours of needing them?

what do you mean? have you been using cryptsy for more than a week? or did you just start using it in the last few days?

Stop skirting around the issue. This problem far exceeds the need for 5 servers. Missing deposits and withdrawals aren't dependent on server processing or throughput.

I think we've been patient enough.  My deposit problem has been going on since November 28th and I've been told twice by the Helpdesk that my problem should be fixed along with receiving an email from John that the problem should be fixed. Helpdesk tickets are being closed without resolution.

I think it's time we entertain the thought that something far more serious than server processing is the problem here. We are being met with the runaround. We deserve credible answers at this point.

Thats the entire point, wtf are they ordering in servers for???

Get in a dc where they have 100's redundant ready for use.

How does that address missing coins ? bots spamming the shit out of the order books to slow it down on purpose. The xpm market is ruined by these bots.

This is damaging alts at a critical period.  A day of this is bad enough but a week is pathetic.

Some markets are really laggy, while others are showing only a 30s lag. Haven't tried depositing coins since 2-3 weeks ago (didn't have an issue then).

That's a lame support for the product and doesn't address the issues. I've already switched to bter. At least I can get my coins back from them.

I've been asked 3 times already for my tx information. It's time to start wondering if Cryptsy has lost our coins. It shouldn't take almost a week and 3 requests for information to find them.

People are losing confidence in the web site.

Also having major issues with Cryptsy. Yesterday a couple of deposits took aaaaages, but showed up eventually. Today an auto-payment of 100 WDC has not been credited yet after 13 hours. Pretty effing annoying.

Sent 100 WDC to Bter, was in my account after less than 2 minutes.

Cryptsy support is fairly useless. They do reply, once, with a stupid excuse about increased volume of deposits taking longer to chew through. I don't think the volume of deposits has increased enough to go from 5 mins to 13 hours.

Well just tried to sign up to bter.com, created account, logged in, went to add funds, it logged me out, logged back in, it logged me out, tried once more and have given up.

if you think cryptsy has problems at least it allows you to log in and fund your account which appearntly Bter wont let me know.

Also looking at the only bits of bter i can see, would i be right in thinking you can only deposit ltc/btc there? that seems a bit poor if you cant deposit other coins ( although i assume you might be able to if i could access the rest of the site.)

Yep they are too small an outfit to cope. We can't blame them i guess they are trying their best. The big question is why none of the other exchanges will help out and take on a few of the larger more reliable coins. If btce added mec qrk and wdc that would really help out.

I hope cryptsy comes through this and takes huge market share away from them. They are sitting back hoping this influx will crush cryptsy.
This will happen as alts become more and more popular. I don't hear people talking about asics/bitcoin in the gym,...i hear people buying the new r9 series for mining alts. You know the word is out now.

I really do not think cryptsy whatever they do will handle the influx. The only thing they can do is limit new registrations and ban all bots.

Those scalping and ping pong bots slap 100's of trades in and slow it all down. Need to have a capture question (not that crap you cant read)  for each trade now and log out idle sessions after 1 min. That is their only hope, obviously their software is not scalable else why is it like this over a week later? ordering in servers?? from where?? get in a decent dc where the techs put you on a new server in an hour. You're US based right so you have the best dcs in the world...why not use them?

Would be nice to see a few new alt exchanges pop up from reliable people well known in the community, it's never good to have all your eggs in one cryptsy basket.

WHy has bter not added quark is what i want to know, look at some of the coins on there?? and still no quark?

it would appear after receiving a 404 error on the page on my last attempt i have now logged into bter correctly and have seen the other funding options ;-)

(cryptsy has actually been working well for me today - still a touch slower than 2 months ago but nothing to worry about.   -and those that dont think extra servers will help with the processing... please look at what happens if you add another GPU to your miner Wham Bam more power! the same principle applies ;-) )

well after putting up the last post, it decided to log me off twice more and i cant actually deposit the coin i want to deposit because deposits are currently disabled....

cryptsy may take time but it always gets there in the end.

it would appear every exchange has problems so we just need to learn to live with them or find another exchange (i miss mcx >.< )

bter has been working for me flawlessly since I signed up this week. Perhaps you need to clear your cache.

I tried Chrome/IE/Firefox  during my tests, I was intending on sticking my Pennies on there as they are trading at 14 times the price of cryptsy (there must be a reason, im assuming its because people cant deposit/withdraw so they are trapped playing with them on there)

cache isnt an issue cleared it on all of the browsers. (Im actually IT support for my company so i tried all the basic stuff (except rebooting))

Im sad to say I have already given up on the site though, after the 4th time the login captcha told me i had gotten it wrong in a row when quite clearly the text was right each time its kind of annoying, plus needing to move quickly with trades being logged out all the time isnt the way forward - so its back to BTC-e for me for most of my trading needs and cryptsy for the not so urgent ones :-) ill give bter another try in a week or so (my account was freshly created so i wonder if there was some back end authentication that was needed and I simply hadnt been registered long enough for it to have happened.

Try to enter a buy order for qrk or ltc you will see the site is still in ruins. If you can't buy or sell the most active coins then the place is not running well right.

Thanks, yes bter does offer a QRK market, it is not listed at the top and is hard to find it actually? this is good news.

Maybe the smaller exchanges should limit new customer signups so they don't overload their capacity. Say 2000 new accounts per week or base the number on the capacity they build for?

Every other exchange works better than cryptsy because cryptsy is overflown right now. You move all this people to other exchange and it will crash under load too.

On the other hand slow deposits =  highly suspicious. Pool operator sees large quantities of some coin incoming, he stalls them as long as he can, while adjusting market orders in his favor. Selling before deposits are allowed to go through, etc.

to be fair i think withdrawal and sometime deposit is not so bad.....trading on any busy market though is terrible.

Not so bad? It's about the worst thing that can happen. My coins are MIA for almost a day now.

When I traded yesterday it was slow, but it worked. Even if it did not, you can't get coins in or out of their broken website. Fortunately I'm "only" talking about 75$ or so worth of coins in my case, just to trade a few coins I don't usually mine, but that 75$ might be worth 10 tomorrow, who knows. Giving people access to their funds should be in first place, with a working trade engine second.

Ok...just finished the email confirmation and it says "pending" (vircurex is instant). Start your timers.

shows as "processed" but can't see the transaction yet.

Got it...for me anyway, their service is acceptable.

I'm grumpy!!

I think Cryptsy should have waited to roll out their new site until after they got their new servers. That's when I noticed the slowdown. Other than that I've been satisfied with their site.

The layout isn't the cause. Cryptsy is overloaded.

Update on my missing deposit:

My ticket was escalated to tech support. The tech support guy sends me an email stating that it looks like my deposit is good. I email him back with screen shots of my deposit page and withdrawal page which includes my balance to show that I have not received the deposit.

It appears as though something in their programming is messed up. They are seeing the deposits but those numbers are not being reflected in account balances when people log in.

Another issue arose. I enabled 2-factor authentication and logged in a couple times. Each time I received an email with an authentication code. Tonight, I log in and no request for code and no email. This web site is messed up.

I think LaudaM is right though. We need to be more patient. They are in a world of hurt with their messed up programming that we can't expect a resolution any time soon but I do believe eventually they will get it straightened out. If too much time passes though people will get the idea that the problems can't be resolved. The ball is in Cryptsy's court. If they want people to come back and trade with them they will get this resolved soon. If not, they run the risk of losing even more business.

In the mean time people are losing out on tens of thousands of dollars they could have saved by being able to trade in their accounts.

One man's loss is another man's gain.
Anyhow, I believe many problems can be remedied by using api access, but I'm not proficient enough to try it.
Also they should unscrew excessive info from the site. We do not need to see that twitter window, we do not need to see extra markets if we disabled them previously in settings (which is done badly btw).

I'm pretty sure BitJohn has access to an audit script. I know a couple ppl around 24h ago got him to run it for them and it credited their account with missing coins from cancelled trades. However, I'm not sure if it covers deposits at this point. He's usually on the IRC channel around 1PM GMT.

Yeah. John emailed me that everything should be ok since he was seeing my account was credited. That's why the Helpdesk closed my ticket several times. It was showing on their end that the deposit went through. The problem is that I can't see it when I logged in.

I was hoping it was simply a problem with the interface so I tried to withdraw but that wouldn't work either. I'm having Tech Support look into it so hopefully they will be able to have it show up when I log in.
