Yep - You are correct.  The increasing total will make the fixed number created an ever decreasing percentage of the total.  

The percentage of DOGE doesn't make two shits. The only reason the inflation goes down percentage wise is because it horribly toxic.

There are 5,250,000,000 new DOGE given each year forever with the current reward set up.  This breaks down to 10,000 new DOGE every minute given away for free to LTC miners.  The miners spend $0 more per year to secure the DOGE network through merge mining.

DOGE wasn't originally like that.

About how long does it take to load the full block chain on the regular wallet with a fresh load? My old computer crashed and I only had a few hundred Doge to begin with, so I never bothered to make a backup. So on my new computer I downloaded the non lite wallet. So far it has been synchronizing the block chain for two days straight and is still 1 year and 6 weeks behind.

Are the devs still active in the community? Just a thought, but with my other coin, Zeitcoin, our dev releases a boot strap periodically with the block chain up to a certain checkpoint. By downloading and installing the boot strap it greatly reduces the time spent synchronizing a freshly loaded wallet. I am sure Doge has a monstrous block chain and so far it seems as if it is going to take at least a week, if not a week and a half, to completely sync up. Just a thought.
