Dogecoin is mentioned in this article about the upcoming Coinye West, by the german IT site heise.de :
http://heise.de/-2075044
The article isn't very good (which is sad since the site is very reputable in Germany) but I was shocked they did a rather positive article on this upcoming coin, also the "jokecoins" like Dogecoin don't get any hate and some BBC guy told them about scamcoins. Cheesy

To be honest, anything under 50million dollars total market cap(100 billion coins) is a joke, even shitcoins like feathercoin are above that, so I think we have a very big chance of going up at least 2x, probably more than that. I say hold your Doge coins, you will not regret that.I think now is the perfect time to get in!

I actually think the block reward design is kinda nice, along with 4 hour difficulty retarget it should do pretty well, now we just need the reward to halve and get rid of multipool and the mine ad dumpers and Doge will go to 60 satoshi + easily

Lots of coin to be earned during this bear market! This coin isn't going to take off until after block halving no matter what so as the old saying says, "Build it and they will come".

Can someone enlighten me what the big deal is with the block halving. Aren't all other mined crypto coins halving blocks from time to time. So how is it changing the status-qou ?

Many reasons, the auto mining pools will no longer be profitable for the number of current miners that are just dumping the coins instantly.

And there wont be so many coins coming onto the market so if demand stays the same and supply drops, prices should rise.

Daily supply halves. That should take alot of pressure from the market.

with block reward halving there will be 2x less coins mined per day and assuming that the difficulty stays about the same that will mean that mining the coin at current prices is 2x less profitable and people will stop mining(multipool is a big deal as the system changes to the most profitable coin so there are people that just mine the most profitable coin at the moment and sell it a day later with no hope that it will go up)

This doesn't count those that have multiple addresses in one wallet.  For example I', in the .6% class but none of my addresses are there.
