I am on block 42334. Is it the correct one?
No. 42641 is. What do i need to do? I deleted the blkindex.dat now im waiting for sync but i have a feeling i get the same blocks You must wait until it get synced. Then you can find on dogechain http://dogechain.info/chain/Dogecoin correct last block number.

HOW TO FIX DOGECOIN FORK:
1. dogecoin-qt update to 1.3 download link https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releases/download/v1.3/dogecoin-qt-v13-Win.zip 2. go to windows start menu and in search type %appdata% go to roaming directory and DOGECOIN in (~AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin\blkindex.dat) 3. backup your wallet.dat file 4. delete old "database", and files "blk0001.dat", "blkindex.dat" "peers.dat" (in ~AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin\) 5. start new dogecoin-qt and the blockchain from correct fork will download 6*. check if your mining pool use 1.3 version if not switch to other updated pool
enjoy!

Better is delete whole directory "database", and files "blk0001.dat", "blkindex.dat" and "peers.dat" After it get synced, compare with http://dogechain.info/chain/Dogecoin block number, difficulty and hashrate.

if they're owners, they bought their dogecoins before the fork at block 42279. none of the OG doge are affected. We should be optimistic about the large number of coin owners who do not visit this thread will not have been brain-damaged by this thread. Hopefully they will be inspired upgrade their shit by fox news or something. developer will have to force 1.4 to download the bona fide blockchain, and to change the fucking mac wallet from this idiot icon: please could someone save us from bells

I actually downloaded the 1.3 wallet the day itself it released. But today when I tried to sync it showed "Not enough space". So even after downloading the correct version of wallet, I have been forced to delete the blockchain files and peers files. It's the reason why I asked about others, who don't know about this thread.

which pool were you mining? i was on a 'bad' pool, but didn't mine dogecoin today. the people most affected are the miners on the pools that didn't upgrade their shit. pretty much everyone else won't be affected. i figure more people will lose their dogecoins from scammers that steal other users' wallet.dat files than anything to do with the fork. same thing happened in march to bitcoin. look our doge is growing up so fast What did this mean for regular users?
Nothing. Almost.
A regular user making a transaction during that time would broadcast his transaction to both ledgers and it would be included in both. Obviously one would be abandoned sooner or later, but that doesn't matter to the regular user because he broadcasted it to both and he would be fine with whatever was the outcome.
Also, no regular user needed to switch back... That was only for miners, because we wanted to concentrate all miners on one side in order to make one ledger longer than the other. For regular users this didn't matter at all, as all clients would accept the eventual resulting ledger.
As you can see, for a regular user, there should have been no problem and there was absolutely no risk of losing bitcoins. The only problem was the increased risk of receiving a double-spend transaction.
What's a double-spend?
This is the reason why some merchants and exchanges stopped processing incoming bitcoins for a couple of hours. http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1a51xx/now_that_its_over_the_blockchain_fork_explained/

I stopped mining a week ago since I'm happy with my 400K. I just tried to sync today to check whether the fork affected my wallet and it showed the "Not enough space error".

Valid blockchain files - syncs to correct chain.ONLY DO THIS AS A LAST RESORT IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO SYNC TO THE CORRECT CHAIN. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU LOSE YOUR COINS. MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WALLET FIRST. I have confirmed with several users this fixes their sync DB errors. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/8rrcb26xt4z9cjw/DogeCoin.rarIts about 800mb. These are about 1 hour old and should get you past the fork. Confirm you are using the latest version of the wallet client. 1.3 for windows. 1.4alpha3 for mac. For windows: Close down the Dogecoin wallet client Go to your data folder: on win7, C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin Rename/Move your old blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat, and /database folder (DON'T delete wallet.dat) Move blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat from this rar into C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin Relaunch For Mac: Close down the Dogecoin wallet client Go to your data folder: ~/Libarary/Application Support/Dogecoin Delete your blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat, and /database folder (DON'T delete wallet.dat) Move blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat from this zip into ~/Libarary/Application Support/Dogecoin Courtesy of www.netcodepool.org(on 1.3 wallet before it was even announced =P plz dig!!!)

I'm just worried about others who don't know about this and hope it doesn't affect our Dogecoin.
