Most people were mining doge for profit. Since last halving, when profits drop to half laso, it is reasonable that they lost interest.
With any other coin the price drop would be more steep, but doge, due to its very big market cap, has a big price change momentum also.
I expect the price to drop even more until somewhere 0.000001 - 0.0000008  and stabilized there for the long term.

I'm planning on buying into Doge to start, maybe .075 BTC worth or so.  Are you still expecting Doge's prices to fall some more?  I thought that the current 160's prices were pretty decent low $$$ buys

Probably not.  Would require 51% of miners to switch to new PoW algorithm.  Scrypt-Jane/N-factory (ala VertCoin or Microcoin) could be a replacement-- but much more difficult to configure miner.  And, would need an entire network conversion.  Dogecoin has had enough trouble just staying updated....

About configuring to vertminer there is no problem seriously you just replace ""scrypt" to other algorythm and and rdy tha is not difficult but ASICs will lose ther income ...
Let them farm LTC and guys look at thier price LTC now 0,02BTC becouse of that Asics farms.
I want doge be GPU exclusive till  last halfing.
