I put in my vote! I wonder why they didn't just go with Doge though instead. "McDoge" sounds better than "McDogecoin."
Voted too. Probably because McDogecoin make people wonder what is Dogecoin. and Doge would just refer to a dog, and not something a lot of people would love to eat

And it's not doggy, it's dough-jee (as was brought up a couple weeks ago). It'd be awesome if McDonalds would also accept Dogecoin for the burger, even if for nothing else but the promotion.

yeah I know it's dough-jee, but people not familiar with that at all would see Doge in the menu and might just think it's a misspelled dog meat burger or something Can only dream of McDonalds accepting Dogecoin now, perhaps next year

It'd be all over the news and then someone could clarify it and it would have a viral effect. That would be MASSIVE.

You're right, except for the fact that McDonalds wouldn't allow such an ambiguous name to be listed, because it's them who would have to explain after perhaps some lawsuits that customer didn't realize they were eating dog meat haha... but it could slip by someone busy and get in too

I don't know how this community (or Reddit) says "dog-e", but on the first NASCAR race the announcer (and the driver) clearly said "dough-j" not dough-jee. I was surprised, but that is what they said. So...

The entire situation leads to questionable results, and neither of the names are really that "good" for this purpose.

It always amazes me that people think this coin will actually succeed... People can't even figure out how to say the name lol. Not to mention the faulty distribution model, and resultant declining network security. Doge was a joke guys... It'll be over this year.

As long as it has a community to back it, it will always have a market. If people give up on it, it'll die. If they keep pushing it, it's showing that a social experiment can be successful, :p.

You need more then a community to sustain a proof-of-work-based crypto currency. You need a strong network hashrate. Otherwise it doesn't matter how much community you have, the coin will get attacked, forked, and essentially destroyed. This is Doge's most likely future, and it was a destiny from the start due to a horribly considered distribution model. Again, Doge was and is a joke. yeah yeah, see you in a year Probably. But I doubt it'll be in any thread about DogeCoin. See you in another halving or two...

With ASICs out now and being sold, I'm positive people are buying them and will jump on the Dogetrain. Is it possible that Doge will die? Sure. I just don't think so at this point.

"The joke" is so happy and funny that millions of NASCAR fans now know about DOGEcoin (through repeated exposure) and many of them had barely ever heard of BTC, if at all. It would seem extremely unlikely that DOGE will die off any time soon.

It's the only coin to go over 100k more than 1 day ever. Check the reddit , it has almost reached the size of r/bitcoin in less than 6 months. It might be a joke but the rate the community has grown over time is insane. And those people are not only fan of doge , they are fans of cryptos. Unlike other coins , doge is bringing in people that had no clue about coins , the other are attracting people who already experienced bitcoin.

There are tons of coins out there already, and not enough investments. This is why the coin is going down in value. Halving the block reward doesn't magically make people start throwing money at the coin; it just enhances the effect of money that IS invested. But to get there, we need more money flowing in.
