Check this out: "Bitcoin is the decentralized digital currency. I say "the," rather than "a," because there can only be one. Since decentralized digital currencies rely on computational power to ensure security, the currency with the most computational power is the most secure. If we ever found ourselves with more than one decentralized digital currency, which ever one had more computational resources devoted to it would be the most secure, and thus more people would trust it, and thus more people would use it, and thus it would come to dominate and be the only one. Bitcoin is that currency. (Previously, I argued that there could be a market of currencies. However, I now realize that, while there can be a market of currencies, there can't be more than one decentralized digital currency.)"- Astrohacker. I threw this together real quick. I think it works. it's like blockexplorer but for ixcoin. all the links say 'bitcoin' but i pointed it at the ixcoin chain so its actually showing ixcoin info. http://buttoncommand.net:2750/Nice work! If you could change name from Bitcoin to Ixcoin and remove the other chains, we could link to it from the Ixcoin wiki. Might even win the relevant bounty too.

It's all open source - anyone can do what they like with it. Don't get involved if you don't like it. If it's better than bitcoin it will survive - if not it will die. I hope more people do exactly the same thing. The more clonecoins the stronger bitcoin will be (unless one of them is better then bitcoin)
Not true, brand dilution is a major problem. Suppose you are a merchant and have to invest $5k in a new digital currency processing system (POS system). Right now the only choice is bitcoins so you choose a bitcoin compatible system. If there are 5 other digital currencies floating around, you are going to sit on the $5k until one of them 'wins', and then buy in.

Definitely feeling down today. Bought them last night then went to sleep. Checked the price and they had crashed. The annoying thing is at one point last night I was a couple of BTC ahead. I should have quit after I noticed the website was a copy of the the bitcoin website. I am hoping to pay down my debts so I can finally start saving to move out of home and I have lost about 55 BTC on this IXcrap.
The annoying thing is I saw all the alarm bells but a mix of irrational exuberance and tiredness had got to me. If I had of seen the thread when it was first posted I may have done well but I think I really came in late. Maybe this is bitcoin on fast forward. Milking the pump and dumps for all their worth.
To the people that got in early well done but for me maybe I should stop wasting my time here. As hard as it is to earn enough money to get by in the real world this stuff seems to just make things even more frustrating.
Not only that I feel so dirty after running this thing I feel like I should clean install my Linux box.

Sorry for your loss, but I can't help but point out the ridiculousness of 'early adopters' being the people who bought into this shit in it's first 24 hours. It's gotta be one of the most rapid pump and dumps ever, and people bought in hook, line and sinker. I started calling him out the second I saw it, but no one listens to poor ole' randy.

started at off at a fairly sensible 0.00160000 but looking back at my history I was buying at 0.00360000 then at 0.00320000 I bought 0.10000000 @ 0.00250000 just before I went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the night to check the price on my android phone and it was about 0.00160000 again. This morning it was really low like 0.0006 or something when I was up. I waited until they regained some value and tried to get at least some of my BTC back.

Yes, it's entirely my fault. I saw a mix of people calling it out and some getting excited. I had gone out to meet friends thinking I needed a break from this shit then 3 hours or so after I got home noticed this thread. I eagerly transferred my bitcoins from mtgox to this exchange having been familiar with how it works after much nmc trading. I work nights mostly on weekends so I don't get much social life. If only I had of noticed it that morning I probably should have mined it for all its worth but never actually bought any just sold them. But then of course that means that some other poor smuck would be where I am now.
