Is the Folding@Home funding over? I'm not getting any EMC for a while, even though I'm getting points daily.

Found a bug in the calculations at the intersection of the New Year. Soon correct.

SHA- 256 crap  Angry Angry

Can you explain, why SHA-256 is crap and so on?

I assume - because of you cannot use virus/troyan, which effective mines for you using botnet's CPU array.

*** Breaking news from EmerCoin ***

EmerCoin reached peering agreement with OpenNIC community.

OpenNIC is network of alternative DNS providers that is open and democratic,
and principally without any censorship.

Following is official ballot result from OpenNIC voting pool:

  Peering with EmerCoin

Yes, peer with EmerCoin: 83%, 29 votes
No, do not peer with EmerCoin: 17%, 6 votes

Thus, the easiest option to reach sites,
registered with EmerCoin uncensored distributed DNS,
is change your DNS resolver address to nearest OpenNIC server.

Of course, another options work, too.

How to find your nearest OpenNIC DNS server(s):
  Just visit: http://www.opennicproject.org/

How to change DNS resolver address, go to
  http://www.opennicproject.org/, thereafter click Resources/How to.
Thereafter, select your OS or device.
For example, how to setup DNS in windows 7:
  http://www.opennicproject.org/configure-your-dns/how-to-change-dns-servers-in-windows-7/

How to register/maintain EmerCoin DNS records:
You needed to download or build EmerCoin wallet (see http://emercoin.com/),
and manage names with your wallet.
  See manual: http://emercoin.com/DNS_and_Name-Value_Storage

All 4 pools are working.
But network hashrate goes up, difficulty, too.
Thus, you cannot mine too much.

There's good reasons to use SHA-256 as to explained to previous troll above.

Emercoin.com under DDoS attack!

Code:
Hi there,

Our system has automatically detected an inbound DDoS against your droplet EMERCOIN.COM with the following IP Address: 192.241.241.153

As a precautionary measure, we have temporarily disabled network traffic to your droplet to protect our network and other customers. Once the attack subsides, networking will be automatically reestablished to your droplet. The networking restriction is in place for three hours and then removed.

Please note that we take this measure only as a last resort when other filtering, routing, and network configuration changes have not been effective in routing around the DDoS attack.

Please let us know if there are any questions, we're happy to help.

Thank you,
DigitalOcean Support

There were a few DDoS attacks, but we're pretty quickly organized defense.
Let's see how it will be good in the future.
