What sort of innovation does EMC bring?  Curious why should I buy EMC?

There's a whole big list of useful things it does, check out emercoin.com and you can see some of its utility.

Thanks craslovell, I have invested in EMC and it seems very good project by reading  the link you sent me but I would like to understand why EMC has not increased in price as Ethereum has done as both partnered with Microsoft and there are less EMC coins than Ethereum and the value of Ethereum is 50 higher why? do you thiknk EMC will reach the same value? thanks

Personally I couldn't say what the price will reach, that is pure speculation. I think part of the problem is that EMC has been overlooked. It simply does not have the hype of other coins, despite being incredibly useful. This is something that is being worked on at the moment as far as I know, with some great projects in the works.

I'd love to say it will reach the price ETH is at now, but that all depends on community involvement and participation. When people see the real value of the coin, I think you will see the price increase you are looking for.

I agree I pondered the very same thought as you did..

 Greetings, to all emercoin participants

Through close observation, due diligence, &
carefully researching emc the next phrase for crypto 2.0-3.0 projects is mainstream adoption, as its all unfolding right in front of you.

For the exploding interest in blockchain technology,
well the writing is on the wall..

Need I say further more.

It appears a quiet consolidation period is occurring.

take inconsideration the news of the partnership
& we have learnt through pervious experiences
News can either make or break a coin.

The kind of awareness & exposure Microsoft can bring
To emc project could potentially mean a world of Difference for the community, investors, users of emc innovations..

If we compare the features which Emercoin currently offers and the Azure certification with other coins in the top 10 than we can see Emercoin is a undervalued coin. The fair market cap would be around 15-20 million $.
So there is some space to rise.

Emercoin is moving up!

What do you believe is the minimum stake weight in order to stake EMC in at least a day? I can't seem to do it with the measly amount that I have.

How can I import a paper wallet into the Emercoin desktop wallet?

Any help is appreciated! Smiley

In the Debug window in the desktop wallet, use the command importprivkey <emercoinprivkey> [label]

for example:

importprivkey 6RADQpd6fn1pXEy3cYBUVRqHauZeKaqn258r4geRGHRvyAa7PGE paperwallet1

Be sure to copy the private key exactly as shown on the paper wallet. Perhaps there is some software that can read in the QR code and save you having to type it but I don't know what software to suggest.

Obviously you should not reveal your wallet's private key!

Be aware that if you spend part of the funds from the paper wallet address, the change will go to a new address and the paper wallet address becomes empty (even if you only spend a part of it). So make sure to back up the new wallet, or otherwise send the remaining balance back to the paper wallet's address.

I hope this helps!

Which is the first number or letter of your private key?

there are some slash in the key when you put it?

sure you are not trying to import the public key instead of provate key?close the wallet open it and try again, let us know if it works now

Yes, I am sure about that.

It seems like the actual command is:

importprivkey <emercoinprivkey> [label]

What do I have to enter as a label?

Thanks! Smiley

Hi guys,

Interesting coin you have here. I look forward to see your future developments!

I have put a password on my wallet, now even when I try and unlock for staking it says the wallet is locked and not receiving stake?

I'm using the Mac wallet.

Thoughts?

Yes I'm sorry I didn't realize the label might be mandatory. The label is just the note that helps you identify the imported address within your wallet. So you can put anything. e.g:

importprivkey <emercoinprivkey> paperwallet1
