what happened? Why CTO was scolded?
Oh he partnered with the same ppl and ran two ICOs and in each instance the investors where fucked out of their funds

As far as I know they were "Technology Partners", not running a business together. Emercoin's Name-Value-Storage (NVS) is used by other projects, including: OpenNic, Polybius, ChronoBank, and others, and I believe Emercoin CTO assisted these projects with integration of Emercoin blockchain tech. He may also have acted as trusted 3rd-party escrow for some of these projects.

I don't know anything about investors being fucked out of their funds. What I can say is that Emercoin is separate from the projects that an individual developer chooses to get involved with. Emercoin is an open-source Bitcoin/Peercoin/Namecoin derivative (with a known coin supply), a platform that everyone is free to use and develop upon.

There is a difference between utilizing an open source software and when his name is attached as one of the partners. With chronobank he just acted as an escrow but with hashcoin and polybius he was one of the listed partners. Again, all i wanted to do was have one vent. which i think i deserve after losing 2 btc but craslovell arranged to have dogie give me a negative trust for daring to vent on the thread. That's some dictator shit, i lose 2 btc and i wasn't evn allowed one vent. wasn't like i have been spamming the thread for months. So since he like to play dirty, i will play along in the same  manner.

Emercoin — 2017 results

On December 11, 2017, Emercoin celebrated its 4th anniversary.

As usual, let me summarize the year’s progress in a short post.

We have met all the goals set for the year:

*Made EmerSSL into an all-set operational service,
*Enhanced EmerDPO with SN Publisher, a separate utility for automatic record creation (see manual(rus)),
*Provided EmerDNS with a whole range of browser plugins(rus) to improve the user experience, and
*Set up a suite of lightweight and secure mobile wallets based on the Electrum protocol.

5 features making EmerDNS the only truly decentralized DNS

In this article we’ll see how EmerDNS took Namecoin’s ingenious idea and brought it further to create a much more powerful decentralized domain name system.

We love Namecoin. Actually, we created our main asset, the Name-Value Storage, from the source code powering Namecoin’s domain name system. But we took the idea a bit further, making the NVS a database for all kinds of data and thus a variety of distributed services.

One of the first of such services was EmerDNS, a full-fledged distributed domain name system. With attacks on conventional domain name systems becoming increasingly frequent, the Internet needed something to protect them from criminals and overly curious authorities alike — and we came to the rescue.

EmerDNS made it possible to create reliable and stable private data networks with decentralized management — safe from service denials or spoofing. In EmerDNS, only the owner can manage or remove a domain record, or any other NVS record held in their wallet.

As the record is located in the blockchain, its copies are available to each Emer node. Thus, users can search for records locally without querying external servers. This makes domain name resolution faster and more reliable. And more secure as well: Neither your ISP nor anyone else will know which sites you visit — especially if you use HTTPS.

For those of you who are already familiar with Namecoin and its .bit domain, here are the top 5 reasons to switch to EmerDNS:

1 — Several domain zones instead of one
2 — Configurable lease duration
3 — Deleting records
4 — Built-in RFC 1035 DNS server
5 — Managing subdomains

Although it has not yet reached the new high point, it is at a high level after all. Now buying is still bad for investment, because maybe when it will go down.

I've clicked the button - Reset options.
Does it mean that I've completely lost all my coins ?

Need help. The balance equals 0 after clicking on that button.

I didn't create any backup wallet.

EDITED.

It looks like I had set a different data directory and resetting the options cleared that setting.
Configure the
