When you release the GUI wallet make sure you explain how we can import the keys/wallet we created with the "webchained". I created the adress (minig right now), but I don't see any files generated.

We'll keep it in mind. We are actively working to bring you GUI wallet and web wallet soon.

Thanks for your feed back.

I don't know ow how to use those codes, so I will wait to see Windows GUI wallet to get address and mine the coin. Thanks for your help.

A guide for those Windows users that have no clue about how to run webchaind miner from console:

Steps are easy to follow:

1) Go to “Webchain: the basics” https://github.com/webchain-network/webchaind#green_book-webchaind-the-basics.     Here you will see a list of all the possible commands that you can use, from how to create a new wallet to how to access and mine Webchain.

2) From CMD, PowerShell or your preferred console, go to the route where you stored webchaind.exe

       a) Let’s say you stored webchain.exe in the recommended directory

Code:
 $HOME\AppData\Roaming\Webchain/
where $home is your “C:\Users\UserName” path
       b) Input the following command: cd c:\users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Webchain and hit enter
       c) Once you’re there, you can write all the commands that webchaind.exe can execute!

3)Check the following link if you need help to create your account

Just one thing i'd like to understand - how do you wish to be taken seriously with a 20% premine? The project was interesting until i read this line...  Cry

Are you really telling potentially interested people that to guarantee your involvement you need 20% premine? In all sectors you could choose, but especially on the crypto space which puts special emphasys in decentralization...? Good Luck.

20% is pretty standard, we are not going to dump it. We don't plan to sell anything anytime soon.

We do understand your complain that it would be best if it had 0 premine, but unfortunately growing a project and seeing it successful without any benefit for us makes no sense. Thanks to that, we are motivated to keep it growing. We have developers, admins and marketings specialist who are involved in this project. with no ICO, we had to use some other way.

Best way to motivate team is to promise them benefits, and to have something to promise, we were forced to premine. We are open about it, and contrary to all other web-minable coins on the market based on CryptoNight - you can actually monitor this account closely if you wish. We are transparent and will stay so.

"Why premine? For long-term support of the project. Our share guarantees our active involvement."

"We wouldn't do this shit for free, but now that we have 20%, we'll never leave you"

Mine your own coin, buy your own coin, put up your own money. Cheap fuck.

We thank you for your lovely comment, but we are too busy developing this product to discuss such things a lot. We are open about premining.

If you like what it is and what it can become - use it, mine it - probably soon - buy it. If not, there are plenty of other projects out there who can offer something for you.

@op
So basically you've slightly altered the cryptonight algo and only released a modified xmrig cpu miner.
While I suspect a few people mine with the unreleased modified xmrig gpu miner, judging by the hashrate

While I suspect a few people mine with the unreleased modified xmrig gpu miner, judging by the hashrate

difference between GPU and CPU mining on Webchain are much much smaller than on other coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Yes, GPU mining still gives some advantages.

so when it comes to hashing algorithm - we modified Cryptonight but in unique way (not copied from Monero or other coins). Also Monero doesn't have smart contracts and is obfuscated. We are transparent, we have smart contracts and instead of 2 minutes blocks, we have 10 sec blocks. There is no other Cryptonight based coin with smart contracts or 10s block time. We are unique.

Our goal is to make CPU mining as profitable as GPU mining.

Also, I doubt anyone is mining via GPU so far. There are people who have many PCs and they use them to mine. We won't stop them unless you want us to KYC each miner and give him max limit of hashrate he can achieve. I think such ideas go so much towards centralization that it doesn't make sense.

Also, looking at pool logs - I can simply confirm, that those high hashrates come from many different IPs connecting. for example, one wallet but separate 200 connections. Some people have rented dedicated servers to mine, or simply created their local farms. It's absolutely not level of ASIC mining.

1.20% premine for a pow project is too large;
2.I check the guide but still don't know how to send coins to other wallets;
3.Could you create a discord or tele channel?
4.Is GPU mining available now? if so how

A very good and promising project, for which I will follow this, I hope that the developers will make every effort to develop this project, and in the future this coin will beat the records of the etherium

Hi,
Good project.
Pretty easy to start mining.
Just one question please : when could we start trading ? There is no "exchange listing" on the roadmap.
