Anybody know why http://www.lotwincasino.com/ doesn't seem to take logins?

It says it uses Lottocoins now, but I have yet to...

I was able to login but I don't see where to deposit LOT? what is up with that?

Not sure. I tried in Chrome and Waterfox...

Hrm. Will keep checking, gotta play some video poker...

Cheesy
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

There is nothing you can do but scoop these up at the incredible prices, I stopped mining LOT for the past 24hr but have been watching it's prices. It's all thanks to those multipools that dump on it, we cannot stop them, either you ride it out until block halves or it's time for you dump all in a panic sell ( in which case I hope to catch some).

Gentlemen:

Today DEDICATEDPOOL.COM was hit with many DDoS attacks.  All of them were redirected except for the last one.

Two minutes after the DDoS was executed, we started to respond putting emergency policies in place and getting things back up as soon as possible.  We were down for about one hour while we reconfigured the network, and put more protections in place to stop such an attack from happening again in the future.

We now have also added to our DDoS protection, Cloudflare, which stops flood attacks and the likes even before they hit the switches.

I urge you to reconnect back to dedicated pool and continue mining with us.  I appologize for the downtime, but we are back after only one hour and we are stronger than before.  You can't keep us down!

Overall I very happy with the response to the DDoS.  The plans were put in to place immediately and they were executed in textbook fashion to defeat the attack and bring services back up as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for mining with us!!

Good work binary,

there has been some 'talk' of an attempted fork on LOT recently, so its good to know your pool (which I believe has a majority of the network hash rate) was able to respond quickly Smiley

I would also like to remind everyone mining Lottocoin, to setup 'failover' in their mining scripts, so you all can continue mining should dedicatedpool.com (or YOUR preferred pool) experience any extended downtime. This may allow you to continue mining uninterrupted, which will assist with negating any directed attack on the network.

Below is an example cgminer config scrypt that may assist you in setting up pool failover (subsitute your pool/s and other config as required):

Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://lot.dedicatedpool.com:3346 -u username -p pass -s 1 --expiry 0 --queue 0 --shaders 2048,2048 --intensity 13 --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://lotus.nut2pools.com:5595 -u user -p password -s 1 --expiry 5 --queue 0 --shaders 2048,2048 --intensity 13

people be careful with dedicated pool..

My auto-payout address for coye was basically changed and abt 15k got sent somewhere else. I then checked my lot account and wallet address was changed there as well and a manual payout of 600 LOT was taken out.. its small in the scheme of things.. but the problem is that i wasnt the only one.. There are at least two other complaints that i am aware of on the coinye thread abt this occuring.. so please check your payout address

You probably used the same password and pin on a fraud coye pool you signed up on before you were mining with us.  Think about it.  That was probably the goal of a lot of fraud websites out there.  Or you could have malware as well.  But blaming a well established and trustworthy admin/pool for taking 15k coye is a bit off the wall.  I haven't had time to research in to this as this is the first I've heard of it.  You made no attempt to send any emails to me that I can see.  This all sounds a bit odd since you have not made an attempt to go through the support channels and contact me.

Anyways, i'd love to look in to the matter for you.  Send me an email admin@dedicatedpool.com

In the meantime I'd suggest the following just to be safe:

1. Reinstall windows immediately - don't take anymore chances with possible malware.
2. Change all your pins and passwords.  Use a password manager to record them all such as Password Safe or something.

hope this helps!

Cointography Lottery comes to Lottocoin!

http://lot.cointography.com/

I've just finished creating the Lottocoin version of my game! It's a very simple concept and there are instructions at the bottom of the game with how to play.

If you have any questions or notice any issues, please let me know!

You should PM mrlotto to get it added to the OP, and I think there are still 1M LOT bounties for games.

Thanks for the note i sent you a pm though as i did i try to send you an email from your support page.. i got an error stating that i could not send an email to you. As for coye.. your literally the only pool i mined at.. as i mine lot there as well and i trust your service.

Anyway i will send you an email.. and follow up with a password manager

*edit* by the way i wasnt blaming you i was just asking users of your pool to be careful.. as it wasnt an isolated incident so i thought it would be good that everyone checked their payout address as well
