Turned half my holding into BTC and then USD while BTC was around $950.  As I think thats a bit of a bubble on BTC imho.   Will watch both BTC and LOT and maybe convert some back to reinstate back to my original level of holding in LOT at a later date.

I am not so sure about the bubble.. was there any specific news that came out recently which increased the demand for BTC or was it a natural progression. Normally a rise in $100 a day would be a bubble but its the cryptoworld and anything is possible. The last time we saw prices hit the 1000 was due to America accepting cryptocurrency.. so i wonder what i'm missing there

Well the one positive from all this is that the lanslide of sell orders under 50 from the past week have mostly been bought up from people who are more likely to sit on it and wait then dump.

lol.. true enough i think that's what a community does.. once the dumpers leave the coin.. we pick it up.. dust if off and move forward.. we keep moving forward till we get hit again... Repeat the cycle...  and slowly get stronger over time.. Till finally we can absorb multipool blows without a blink...

On a side note..i think multipools serve a function... we get hit often cos we are profitable.. coins that can withstand those hits and price drops prove themselves to have long term viability.. the one's that dont make it.. die.. with over 10 new coins out everyday.. its a good way to wipe out the weak

A bit of positive news about zynga letting people buy stuff with bitcoins, but allowing kids to buy pigs and sheds for farmville with BTC is not going to set the world on fire imho.

Wasn't there also some kind of news about bitcoin and Facebook?
I was looking at it via phone, didn't dig in much, so is it a hoax or?

Anyway: Prices of altcoins are not stable last few days because BTC was (or still is?) on the rise. Which probably means many people sold a lot alts to get better profit at BTC.
In few days, or so, anyway - at some point, things should go around.

I'm actually pretty sure I saw FB too.
Will try to dig up that.

edit:
here is is: http://bitcoinboard.net/facebook-accepts-bitcoin-on-advertising-platform/
But later on I find things that may confirm it's just a false news. :/ Too bad.

Btw, on the other note : BUY is almost 21 and some idiot selling at 19. Wow, never stops to amaze me.

Oh right i saw that.. dint think it would work on games like farmlife etc.. somehow i doubt daddy would be happy that his kids spent 10btc to make their pink strawberries grow faster... Would be massive if it was included on their texas hold em game though..

Btw, on the other note : BUY is almost 21 and some idiot selling at 19. Wow, never stops to amaze me.

Pretty sure it was a targeted attack at the 19 wall.. cant remember which user quoted it. but there is a difference in mentality with miners and traders... traders are subtle so trades like that, if we werent paying attention, would erode the wall and basically send the price down quickly.. Miners on the other hand don't have any subtlety as they have overheads to cover and need immediate gains..

*edit* or as haggis said.. maybe cryptsy is slow and some poor dude's order got executed late

Is not it mainly because of trading mechanism on Cryptsy? 19 was lowest sell in that moment someone started to put buying bids on everything at 20, 21...

Apparently netflix will be going BTC as well.. nothing quite like a good rumour to get the cryptoworld going..

You know i never even heard of coinpayment before LOT so i am curious if people are aware of other similar portals? we could aim to get LOT listed there if there are...

This. If I want to buy 5BTC worth of a coin and there are sells for (e.g.) 1BTC at 20, 2BTC at 21 and 3BTC at 22, and I want a full and immediate fill, then I have to enter an order to buy at 22. That will automatically get me filled at 20, 21, and 22. Unfortunately Cryptsy isn't very fast at executing such orders, so for a short while it would seem that the sells at 20 and 21 were entered under the best bid.
