Official Lottocoin press release (1 of 2) is online!

http://redd.it/1uerc1

(please upvote too)

This one is written by me, another one will be posted by Sergios later today or tomorrow Smiley

Donations are welcome of course!  LxcRGiUvxh6LeEGHsfJfCFGLqeBXpUvF89

This person should be doing the marketing for Lotto coin.  I hope he got given more than that other person who was supposed to be some sort of "hardcore marketing" God.

Put this person in charge of the PR please.
Another low hit from a sociopath who's behind a PC.
Can you get lower? Wink

Being a sociopath is nice, lots of advantages.
But trust me. You're just wasting people's time. Everyone sees it.

You'll be thanking your God soon, when BTER accepts LOT.

Hey, smexy. Don't waste your time. Time's precious.

C3all you crack me up bud, I can see why you have your doubts about Lottocoin, and honestly, it's only natural to hold back at certain times in life Smiley
Each is entitled to their own opinion, and I do respect yours Smiley

I'm not looking to start a fight here, I'm just saying I'm glad you still talk about the coin with passion, whether it's positive or negative, and I can admire that.

Personally, I hope you stick around for a while, and we'll do our best to prove you wrong Smiley Sounds fair?

He's just one of the poor bastards dumping at 10 satoshis on coinedup probably!

If he is, he's entitled to do so, if that's what he wants.

We should stop this fighting & just try to prove our point by actually "doing" more and "talking" less , if you know what I mean Smiley

We all have our views, and they just don't please everyone at the current time. All we can do is focus on the tasks at hand, and make Lottocoin a success.

Ive sold at various points between 70 and 10, and bought at similar levels too, as well as mined it.  I would still be in profit if I sold at 10, as the volume sold so far more than covers the electricity for my little rig, but I'm just as hopeful that it will turn up some real profit as anyone else.

But in all seriousness, the article by jdebunt is the most professional looking piece of marketing I've seen so far for this coin.  I'm not being sarcastic when I say he should have more of a role in promoting this coin.  If he isn't in the "brain club" or whatever it is, he bloody well should be.

For someone who recently got into crytpo's and has only been on bitcointalk for a few weeks you sure do run your mouth a lot.

I don't know your qualifications, you might be great trader, but you don't know jack about crypto's.

Why would the coin go up in 6 months?

Instead of asking that you should be asking what coin that is half decent hasn't gone up in the last 6 months?

Why is crypto currency better for gambling sites then fiat? That you don't know this shows how ignorant you are.

First it bypasses most of the regulatory structure of government. In order for governments to regulate they need jurisdiction. They get there jurisdiction when you use fiat and involve banks in the matter. They can shut down a gambling site by taking control of their bank accounts. Maybe do a little reading on what happened to some of the bigger poker sites a couple years back.

If you host your gambling site offshore and only accept crypto's what is there for them to regulate? They can't shut down the website, it is offshore and they can't block transactions or seize assets because it is p2p crypocurrency. Basically the government can't do a damn thing. You don't have to worry about regulation. duh Now anyone can open a casino.

Secondly crypto's are way faster to use then fiat and more anonymous. If I am going to gamble do I want go through all of the trouble of setting up an account, revealing my identity and then when I want to cash out I have to wait a week or more for a check, and then pay taxes?

Crypto's make it way easier. I don't have to give up my anonymity to gamble and cash outs are basically instant. You get to decide if you want to pay taxes or not.

Pull your head out of your ass and put your ego in check and you might learn something.

Crypto's aren't going away. They are the antidote to out of control government that has over controlled and regulated every part of our lives.

And these casinos are never going to want to turn their crypto currency back into fiat?  Of course they are, and when that happens, all that regulation and jurisdiction that you mention, hits them.  Secondly, the fact that crypto can beused to "avoid taxes" is largely irrelevant when it comes to gambling, ans wining from gambling are tax exempt (at least where I live).  If you think governments around the world arent going to move to regulate and control crypto, you are very much mistaken.

An online casino, if you take out government regulation and taxation has very little overhead. You don't need to convert much back into fiat to operate it, if I am not mistaken you can even pay for hosting with BTC now and more services are sure to follow. Profits could be held in crytpo until there is a way to cash out. Even local bitcoins would work. Remember we are talking about the virtual world here, you don't need to be a multimillionaire to start your own casino you just need to know how to code.

Unless all the governments pass similar legislation there will always be a point where you can cash out large amounts outside of your own governments jurisdiction.
Quote

I've learnt a lot in my life, not least of which is that people who wade in big and brash like you trying to poke holes in my arguments are usually dumber than a box of rocks.  By spouting your socialist garbage about crypto freeing people from government jurisdiction is just garbage, its pretty clear what your level of understanding is.  Grin

Freedom and socialism are pretty much an oxymoron. I would categorize myself somewhere in between libertarian and anarchist.

That you would lump me in with socialists is a hint that you have contradictions in your own mind you need to clear up.

Quote
Simple question...  Do you think the federal officials moved to legitimize bitcoin for any other reason other than to be able to exert controls over its use?   You think governments around the world are going to sit back and let people just idly ignore taxation regulation.  Allowing those with money to just opt out of the tax system, leaving the countries finances ruined.   Again, thats pure fantasy.   People may be getting away with a bit of money here and there on crypto right now, but 12 months from now given the huge upsurge in people taking part, I predict a lot more regulation and it being a lot tougher to move money from the virtual world to the real world with anonymity.

Of course they want to regulate it but wanting to regulate something and actually being able to enforce those regulations is a different matter.

I know a guy who sold $20,000 of BTC on local bitcoins in a week. Now if he wants so claim it that is up to him but it just shows that there are work-arounds to everything including the exchanges. Hell people will send you $100 bills in the mail for a small profit.

In order for government to really squash crypto all the major governments would have to come to an agreement and implement it quickly. Pretty damn hard to do considering they can't even agree on most issues. The more this catches on the harder it is going to be to stop it. People are sick of the government abusing, and taxing the crap out of them and then saying it is for their own good.

Your kind words are much appreciated, and I thank you for that.

I think even if people talk bad about lotto, they are talking about it, you know? So it's good for promotion and keeps LOT on top so everybody can see it and then take their own conclusions about what they think about the coin and if it's worth invest on it or not.
The community is growing and people who are discovering Lotto is seeing some value on it and they are fighting to see the coin on top. People like C3ALL is needed for the health of the community because they show their view point that is usually the oposite from the others and this cause discussions and then lead the community to become stronger!

So the casino owners would be happy to just sit on their profits, risking the violent fluctuations of crypto value until there was some magic way to extract it to fiat without any regulatory body being involved.

How exactly would they then pay for their daily life while awaiting this magic solution?

Why would all governments need to cooperate to a one fits all solution.  They just need to pass legislation on their own banks from accepting incoming transactions from sources of crypto exchange.  It knocks that country out of the game.  It will then be left for people to route the cash through countries that dont give a toss about people avoiding taxes in their home lands.  The problem is they will also probably not give a toss if that money goes missing along the way either.  As we know, its the wild west, and that got tamed too.

I'm not taking the coin down, I'm talking the actions of some of the people down.  I want the coin to do well, and imho more of the articles like the one recently posted and less of the "lot to the moon, buy now or miss out" garbage is the way to do it.  More professional marketing and perception of the coin is the way forward.

I didn't say that you're taking the coin down, I talked in general. And I think you're right. We need more people like jdebunt that promote the coin and more people like you that discuss the coin and what is behind it. So keep the good work and this coin will grow healthy!

First of all these violent fluctuations you talk about are mostly in the upwards direction. Yeah they have been up and down in the last month but if you have been in this game longer then that you are still sitting on 800-4000% gains. That is the type of volatility I like.

Now to the getting to use your money part, trust me there are multiple ways. I am not going to get into the intricacies here. If you get a little creative it isn't hard at all.

Maybe after a couple years your casino profits are so large you just move to the friendly jurisdiction and retire a millionaire.

There is a guy on youtube who's wife was taking him to the cleaners in divorce court so he just moved to chili and took his BTC wallet. Wasn't a damn thing anyone could do to stop him. Trying doing that with fiat.

Sure it isn't for everyone, there are obstacles but some people are willing to overcome them. We don't need everyone to be a success. 95% of people are sheep who just follow along.

Massive overly optimistic to think that crypto will ever take off to that degree and remain unregulated.

The swings in value will have a massive effect on its links with gambling too.  If one person buys their crypto for $1 a coin, and another buys for $5 per coin.  Is it right they sit at the same table when playing 1 coin a hand?

A multitude of complications when linking gambling to fiat and involving regulation.

Its also fine to say that if people hold long term the value goes up.  Maybe when there were a handful of coins, not so with the number available now.  Also who goes into a casino, buys chips, plays, and then just keeps those chips until they can find a way out?

Also, with fluctuations of 10% in an hour on crypto, its entirely possible to win at a crypto casino and still walk away worse off because the fiat exchange rate bombed while you were playing.

As for the divorce guy, why did he need to move to chili if crypto is untouchable?  Its because the wallet would also be decreed marital property and presided over as such.  It doesn't matter if he bought gold bullion, bananas or bitcoin, it would still have to be counted and apportioned accordingly.

I agree that the website could be a lot better. The front page is aimed at the mining community but doesn't do much for the regular person or promoting lottocoin for use as a gaming coin. I would make this a priority.
