im doing both buying and selling.. I mean theres a percent of me holding long term, but the rest of what I have I usually sell it.

of course, theres no real good time on when to sell but when i see price points that comfortable towards $300 thats when id sell.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

HODLing used to be fun, nowadays it's just boring Cry

boring will pay off.

there is no sexy about holding, but its the same way how the rich have a big principal in a 1% instrument and thats not sexy but they know the money works for them.

so dont worry bitcoin will pay off eventually.

In fact the best part of holding is during stable periods of downtrend, because you are able to buy more amounts of Bitcoin or whatever you are holding. Your stack just keeps growing and you know it will be properly valued in the future and it will pay off.

Still HODLING & planning to for many years. Only an idiot would sell significant amounts of bitcoin at these prices. Do the sensible thing people, buy & HODL, keep accumulating to prepare for 'hopefully' much, much higher prices in the future. Have patience & it should pay off, these bad times will all be worth it one day. Stay strong & HODL.

Not everyone has the patience nor see its future.

I mean we all see it differently so its not fair to say its not sensible for them and its dependent on their financial situation if they need the cash.

I think most people sell just cause they dont want to deal with the volatility.

But we need people to be panic sellers, not everyone can be winners, so naturally the few that reach the top of the mountain holding the most bitcoin will be the selected elite of super hodlers.

trading alt coins would one of the best ways to hodl. Alt coins are much easier to trade than usd and if I'm making profits trading btc then I won't even think about using those bitcoins to trade btc/usd.

^^  It also depends on what worth dollars hold at that time, we're not talking fixed exchange.  The argument I read was always that dollars are produced at a far greater rate then actual natural growth or popular use but bitcoin is relatively limited.  Of course dollars are world currency and its hard to gauge demand.  Bitcoin had aspirations towards the same global use but though its widespread its very sparsely used of course, longevity might save bitcoin but Im not sure

Lol yeah. I think you should aim a little higher than 330. I also agree you should hold until at least the block halving though I think holdign them for 3-5 years would be the best investment as bitcoins growth will take time.

It might not reach $330 until after the block halving. Wink

why not! After tha having happens, the supply will be less ! At that time its adoption rate will be huge! Many ppl may take this opportunity to buy up it, IMO it will be pumped, just like litecoin  ,which has nothing new innovation comparing with Bitcoin!

It might not but even if it doesn't it wont matter. Bitcoin's true value will only be achieved long term and when many industries have adopted it. I would prefer the value to remain low for the next couple of years so I can aquire more. I think bitcoin wont achive its full potential in less then 5-10 years.

i'm sure lots of panic sellers sold below $200 and probably bought back in at well over $200 to not fall behind. weak hands always lose.
