The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

there will come a time when I'll cold store some bitcoins once I've recouped my initial investment, and then some maybe.

That's your mistake then: Don't trade in the past. After every trade, the slate is wiped clean and the only thing that matters is your current position and what you think will happen in the future. Whatever trades you did in the past are already lost and gone. The past can never ever affect what your best choice is right now.

Still holding most of my BTC, been earning some from consulting and spending some on overstock type stuff. So why is BTC blipping up?

C

I'm struggled ... on btc-e all I have in there is fiat and I have that feeling my stake is going to became irrational number ...  ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irrational_number )

I cry every morning when I wake up, still in fiat and see that Bitcoin has rises $60. The night where I sleep in Bitcoin is where I'll wake up to a tanking price.

Some say its all about hodl is godl, but when you want to make some $ and Bitcoin you sometimes find yourself getting burned Sad

This is exactly why we hodl Bitcoin

Even if u bought at the 1160 peak (if u did buy at 1163 i think u must be the unluckiest person in the world and should stop investing immediately or call me when u feel like investing again as it will be the start of the crash )

Any advances on $973?

Now that bitcoin's looking up, let's remind people that nothing has really changed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhhlPRGrwQI&feature=kp

Hodl on tight to your dream
Hodl on tight to your dream
When you feel your rocket's launching
When you feel your heart is breaking
Hodl on tight to your coins.

It's a long time to be out
Inflation goes on and on
When you need champagne to open
When you get so sick of losing
Just hodl tight to your dream.

When you get so down that you can't get up
And you short so much but you're all out of luck
When you're so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over & over & over you could

Hodl-toi à ton rêve
Hodl-toi à ton rêve
Quand tu sents ton fusée partir
Quand tu sents ton coeur se briser
Hodl-toi à tes monnaies.

Hodl on tight to your dream
Hodl on tight to your dream
When you see the candles falling
When you hear bitalert calling
Hodl on tight to your dream.

Do you think price will be higher in five years than today? If yes, then none of what you're talking about matters. Buy and forget, that's what the HODL mindset is about.

In fact we are all hodling and forgetting about them.. and if there comes the opportunity to have a business in btc , it will be double good, because if it skyrockets then all your actives will do too.

I type d that tyitle twice because I knew it was wrong the first time.  Still wrong.  w/e.  GF's out at a lesbian bar, BTC crashing WHY AM I HOLDING? I'LL TELL YOU WHY.  It's because I'm a bad trader and I KNOW I'M A BAD TRADER.  Yeah you good traders can spot the highs and the lows pit pat piffy wing wong wang just like that and make a millino bucks sure no problem bro.  Likewise the weak hands are like OH NO IT'S GOING DOWN I'M GONNA SELL he he he and then they're like OH GOD MY ASSHOLE when the SMART traders who KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY'RE DOING buy back in but you know what?  I'm not part of that group.  When the traders buy back in I'm already part of the market capital so GUESS WHO YOU'RE CHEATING day traders NOT ME~!  Those taunt threads saying "OHH YOU SHOULD HAVE SOLD" YEAH NO SHIT.  NO SHIT I SHOULD HAVE SOLD.  I SHOULD HAVE SOLD MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY SELL AND BOUGHT MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY BUY BUT YOU KNOW WHAT NOT EVERYBODY IS AS COOL AS YOU.  You only sell in a bear market if you are a good day trader or an illusioned noob.  The people inbetween hold.  In a zero-sum game such as this, traders can only take your money if you sell.

so i've had some whiskey
actually on the bottle it's spelled whisky
w/e
sue me
(but only if it's payable in BTC)

I am still holding.  Wink
