I'm still mining this. Welcome to the holiday season, no guts no glory.

"version" : 80601,
"protocolversion" : 70002,
"walletversion" : 60000,
"balance" : 46460.55364785,
"blocks" : 11442,
"timeoffset" : -9,
"connections" : 8,
"proxy" : "",
"difficulty" : 1.18800305,
"testnet" : false,

Same Smiley
best of luck
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

The dev's really need to provide valid links to -qt and stuff. someone posted a dropbox link, which is seemingly very gracious, other than the paranoia which prevents me from being to......handy, I hope that the dev team is serious about trying to make this coin a valid release.

VirusTotal might show something as it did when I ran it the first time I downloaded it. But others checked it (look in prior posts) and stated it showed false positives. No worries if it's not trusted... the web and a random user (like myself) can be scary.

But if it does have something negative, please let me know because I'm using it, too.

You can't put everything on the dev you know. It's a community coin so if you want something done then do it yourself. If we all work together then we can do something, if you want the original creator to work for you when they have an equal share in coins, or perhaps even less then that is a terrible attitude to have. This isn't a company and you are not a share holder, lol.

Also, still looking to buy in case there is anyone here with a folding farm looking to sell a load.

Will pay 0.002 btc per 10k. I think it's a good price at this stage.

I can verify that the dropbox download seems to be legit. I downloaded it and put it into a zip file with the original Xivra-Qt. both are 22.429.696 bytes unzipped and 7.911.601 zipped. If some code was changed, the zipped version should be different.

oh and btw (lol) .. the download on http://www.xivra.com/ works perfectly fine for me, too. That´s the official site. As stated in the first post.

Does anyone else get errors with the GUI qt client? I get an error message saying that it can't access wallet.dat, and then closes the client!

Nope, mine works fine. Check your security settings, maybe you logged in with another account? or did you move your Xivra folder?

I think I fixed it : I had a wallet.dat.bak file in my Xivra folder, next to the wallet.dat file. Moving the backup file seems to have solved the problem  Grin

-fuck, no. it synced, but then the same issue again -  Huh

backup your wallet.dat
remove everything else , files in appdata/xivra and the program xivra-qt itself (you can keep xivra.conf)
download xivra-qt
start xivra-qt and let it completely sync with the whole chain before you put your wallet.dat back
