subsidy halves in 840k blocks (~2 years)
 ~8.4 billion total coins
 5000 coins per block
192 blocks to retarget difficulty (4 hours)
difficulty adjustment is max +25% and -50%
 600 block maturity
 starting difficulty : 0.00024414
pre-mine : 4 blocks to test client and pool
 addnode=176.9.1.6
use of ports 43519(rpc) and 43520(p2p)

Pool : http://xiv.cipherpool.com 620 confirmations needed by JohnDorien
http://xiv.coinworld.us 620 confirmations needed by MobGod
         http://pool.xivra.com 192 confirmations needed, 3% fee

Source : https://github.com/Xivra/Xivra
Source in zip : http://www.xivra.com/downloads/Xivra-master.zip

blockchain explorer
update checkpoints once mining started
fix pnSeed
update code with credits to who credits belong
update client to look more slick
new website with tools integrated ( planned Dec.21-28 )

Things not tested :

difficulty adjustment not checked due to the fact as i did not want to pre-mine.

For more information, and links to the sourcecode and the Xivra client sofware, see this thread and http://www.xivra.com when Xivra launches

Q&A :
Is it innovative ? : No
Will Xivra be valuable : No

http://xiv.cipherpool.com/

I'm mining on the same pool and can confirm that payouts are working. Did you set an auto payout threshold and a payout address? If not, you need to set those two things. Go to you Edit Account page and enter a payout address and a threshold for automatic payout (threshold is between 0.1-25000000 XIV or you can set it at '0' for no automatic payout)

Anyone who is curios bout payment with xiv.cipherpool it takes 620 confirmations and it generally takes a good 4-24hours till u get confirmed
So don't freakout if it takes forever to payout - It will in due time

On that note

I have 50,000 Xiv i would like to trade for BTC/LTC/Doge
Drop me a pm with an offer

Yeah I have noticed after mining it take around 12 hours to be confirmed. It should show up as unconfirmed in your pool though, what pool are you using? I have been using cipherpool with no problems.

The same thing literally just happened to me.  I was writing a letter to the pool owner then I thought I'd check something. if you check the transaction logs from the pool they are likely being sent. I had to close my wallet and re-open it; that fixed the issue, even though it was synced with a good connection.

its fun watching 200k pop in to your wallet when you reopen it

No effort, and if it becomes popular you've gotten some profit

Update on Xivra p2pool at http://blackcomputing.org:8866:

Stats now showing properly (apart from p2pool network total hashrate, to my knowledge no other node exists).
Stats reset after moving to a new setup.
You will probably still need to set your own difficulty.

Happy mining!

I'm putting up a bounty out of my own personal wallet for whoever finds the first block on xiv.livechains.net

2500 XIV Goes to the person who finds the first block. If I happen to be that person, I'll split up that 2500 XIV and give it to the first five people to register (500 XIV each)

EDIT: All bounties have been claimed. If you are one of the lucky five and have not yet received your 500 XIV, please respond to the email that I sent you asking where you would like your XIV to be sent.

Yep, seen that, but what is current amount?
When will they appear on cryptsy?
Many question, lack of information from founder's side.

I think he wants to know exactly how many have already been mined and when it will show up on an exchange.

ahhh, sorry for my ignorance since I thought this was clear.

As you can see from block explorer we are now at block 13016 (* 5,000) = 65,080,000 Xivra.

It is up to an exchange to list Xivra or not. But as I stated earlier; personally I think that Xivra is not ready yet.

I do think that Xivra is ready in the first week of January.

I understand that many of the current miners want to have it listed as soon as possible to get a nice profit for their early adoption and hashing power. I also know there are many 'altcoins' made just for the purpose to make it quick to exchange no matter what state the code is in and cash in.

My view is to make the code as good as possible 1st, have a decent website and then promote Xivra. As for cashing in, with no pre-mine and only 300-400 KH/s as my own mining power there is nothing personal to cash in for me.
