So 6 pin is more common even with 2-3 old power suply.
Also with 8 chips @ 40W in turbo mode 1 connector will not be enough
The connector can hold by specs 3 x 10 amp

I'm not very good with electrical current, but i have a question. If i have a fuse of 16A won't that trigger if i plug 3x10A?

No your mains will be 16A x 230V/120V = 3680W/1920W (depending where you live) on the other side of the PSU it's 30A x 12V = 360W

Ok. But how about PSUs then? Does a PSU of 1000W have a fuse of 83 amps?

Kinda, the main fuse will be on the outside of the PSU on the mains circuit AC 230V/120V, but to confuse the matters they can also have 12v internal fuses too!

PC Direct Current 83A x 12V --- 12v Fuse ---[AC/DC Transformer]--- 230v/120v Fuse --- 16A x 230V/120V MAINS Alternating Current

Ok. But how about PSUs then? Does a PSU of 1000W have a fuse of 83 amps?

Switching power supplies usually do not have fuses on the secondary side. The protection is provided by a chip that monitors the current and shuts down the PSU if the current gets too large (overload, but not a short). If the output is shorted, then the feedback no longer works and the primary chip shuts down. Crappy PSUs do not have over current protection, but they still shut down when shorted (though the short has to be good).

But yes, if the 1kW 12V PSU had a fuse on its output the fuse would be something like 80A or 90A or multiple fuses (one for each "rail"). Just like my 650VA UPS has a fuse of 80A (actually two 40A fuses in parallel) in series with the battery (12V).

A 1kW PSU would have a 10A fuse on its input. That fuse does not protect the PSU from blowing up, it is there to protect the PSU from melting the power cable.

Do you got any updates on the chips? Bitmine did produce some chips, including some test samples.

Do you got an idea on the lead time of the assembly/production of the boards? From the point there is a working prototype board?

Nice. Hopefully the boards will be available soon and for a good price, like the first HEX16B were. I have a few BTCs saved for this.

I ask for a refund at Technobit.eu Website on 2013-12-09. They told me, the refund "will be done in 10 days". Yesterday (2014-01-09) I double checked my bank account and get nothing from Technobit. Plus they don't answer to any eMail or Contact-Message furthermore (last few weeks). They are scammers. My Order-ID is FESYNGABJ. I am going to my lawyer and will fight against those scammers using the most possible of an law enforcement. However, law enforcement is much easier sind 2014, because the scammers sitting in Bulgaria and are now  in a country based in the European Union.

Don't purchase anything from Technobit Scammers. They told me to refund via paypal immediately. Nothing happens.

Yeah i can confirm my 2 order from November arrived in December and the last order from 05 December was send today

Although their after sales service is indeed very bad, but i think they are improving, i had 2 faulty units from last order and i send email yesterday night to them asking for adress to send the units, they replied me this morning with the adress and confirmation for me to send the faulty units ... so honestly i think they are getting better

You ordered Assembly service and never delivered chips to us.
As far boards and all the components are prepared for your order you'll have to wait some time to get your money back.

Would probably be best to wait until everything is cleared up from his current situation before ordering anything from him. Just trying to give you guys a heads up, he still has lots of refunds and late orders to take care of, with no sense of urgency on his end to do so.

Well as soon as the Hex8A1 goes on sale I'll be ordering some.

Received 5/6 of my December Batch 1 Hex16B so far.

Not perfect but Technobit is a big improvement on BFL who took 6+ months to deliver!  Wink

I have received my 3 HEX16B on time in December (ordered in late November for December delivery), so I am waiting for this one.

Yea, AntMiners and the new Avalon miners use quite a lot of power per GH/s - they will be obsolete sooner.
