If your Crypto assets which is a money is important to you then of course you should give importance to the safety of your security wallet which is your private keys, accounts and passwords. If you will not give importance to the security of your assets then better give it to the charities so that your hard earned money will not in vain. There is no point of giving them to the thieves?
in my opinion, wallet security is very important for those of us who are investing in the world of bitcoin. now many scammers use all the techniques to break into our accounts and get lots of benefits easily.

Absolutely yes because it is our only weapon to fully secure by the hackers ability of hacking innocent account in easy ways.  We must be full proof protection always to make us more safer with all of our transaction.
our protection could not guarantee our wallet security.even an exchanger that developt with multy layer security could hacked and much bitcoin stolen from them.so our enemy now not only market, but also blackhat hackes.

Having a secured wallet is much much important and a priority you need to focus before other things. It will be very painful after doing a whole lot of projects and in the end, you lose almost all your money.
And yet this is something that we see all the time, people make a lot of efforts for months or even years and then just because they made a mistake at some point during that process they lose all their coins to a hacker that was waiting for the opportunity to steal a huge amount of money from them, I know it's unfair but if you want to avoid that you have no other option but to secure your wallet as much as you can.

i believe they can't break block chain's wallet security Also let me correct it for you. You can't store your bitcoin in phones memory or in SD CARD. You need online wallets.

It is indeed the first thing to be done in order to have a safe wallet. Make our security more strict and be being careful in every transactions made. Also avoid logging in to some suspicious sites using our wallet security codes.

A secure wallet will allow you to sleep soundly at night, without fear of attack by hackers, which can be directed to the exchange.

it all depends on the user itself whether he is always careful in storing private keys or not, I always use the method that you provide with additional antivirus and anti-keylogger applications on the device that I use

I once read for security wallet,
this is just for discussion how to secure the wallet. I do not think there is a security system and there will be no theft in the wallet.

If you choose your wallet or phone software, you need to be extra careful! Remember that bitcoins are stored inside your device. If your computer or phone breaks down, your bitcoin is gone too! Thieves can also take your bitcoin if it gets access. Consider the following tips to avoid losses:

Perform regular backups regularly
Save the backup on another device like in flash or another computer.
Use the encryption feature
With encryption, each transaction requires a login with a password. This prevents thieves who manage to gain access to your computer.
Do not forget the password
Losing a password equals losing your money! Wallet does not provide a password forgot feature.

Do you guys have a better idea to avoid theft in the wallet?

from some of the entries that you mentioned, this will really help everyone in storing crypto assets that they have. and some important things we have to do so that our wallet becomes safe is one of them that is, never tell about the private key that you have to someone you don't know.

The measures against theft that I am carrying out are the following

1 Two-step authentication
2 Use bookmarks for exchanges (avoid phishing sites)
3 Complex password
4 Strict observance of secret key
5 Security software
6 Use hardware wallet (purchase from trusted store)

There is no novel idea but I am taking these countermeasures

Yes wallet security is really important to used because you will get easily robbed by hackers if you don't have high security features in your wallet, that is why finding a good wallet is the best like blockchain and others.

Yes, I guess its better to be more careful than to trust fully the internet or the application that we're using whether its on a mobile device or on a world wide web. Theres a lot of ways how a theft could steal your wallet yet theres also ways to have security for your wallet. Remember that every intangible things are so easy to lose because it can be hack anytime.

These are my suggested ways to secure your wallet:
1. In making an account, if there is important details that you must remember in case of emergency, have a print screen of it and save it to your mobile phone, computer and flash drive.
2. Do not share your wallet to anyone. As much as possible, don't let anyone see it for protection.
3. Do not share your information about your account.
4. If there is a recommendation in the system to secure your account, try to use it.
5. Avoid clicking ads because sometimes its a hyperlink to another system.
6. Do not forget/lose your details on your account especially your password. Save it from your notes written and typewritten.
7. As much as you could, do not use a website as your wallet because I think it is much prone to hacks than on an application on your mobile phone.

There's a mistake in what you've said. Your BTCs are not held inside your phone etc. Therefore you're right saying that backups are very important.

This is of course. You need to protect your assets especially Bitcoin because its value is quite large. Protect your wallet to avoid hackers infiltrating and taking away your Bitcoin number. You can use google authenticator for wallet security, password required and this is needed and safe.

In my opinion, the security of this wallet really needs to be used due to safeguarding our assets rather than people who want to steal it, even they can use our assets on a bad road.

Buy a Hardware Wallet. I recommend Nano Ledger S but there are other quality hardware wallets out there. Am I claiming that the hardware wallet really can't be hacked? No. But I definitely think it's safer than downloading a wallet to your computer. The following are some of the advantages provided by hardware:

  • Compatibility with most cryptocurrency.
  • The wallet is only online when it is plugged into your computer so that the opportunity threshold is much lower.
  • The wallet protects your private key that is important for sending coins. In fact, unless you are very focused, you won't even know your private key!
  • The wallet can only be accessed with a pin code that damages the wallet after three incorrect attempts. What is the possibility of a thief guessing your pin in three attempts?
  • This wallet is supported by a 24-word password that you need to record and keep it in a safe place. I recommend storing passwords in 2 or 3 different locations to be safe. If you lose your wallet or corrupt your crypto, you can return it with this password.
  • Each transaction must be confirmed by a button on the wallet itself. The wallet will also display the address you sent your coin. Never push a button unless the address in the wallet matches what is on your screen! The wallet is always correct.

As you can see, the wallet protects against various hacking attempts; even protect you from your own stupidity. You cannot give your private key (something you should never do) if you don't even know them!
