I know they quite like EcoBot/bud for their bot/mascot....but then there were some concerns in case a new coin emerged with the letter ECO.

I guess they could get round that by just calling it EACoBot...pronunced the same but starting with earthcoins initials?

It doesn't follow the calendar (i.e doesn't fall on the last day of each month etc), each bonus is measured from the day of the launch.

Here is the code for it:

I'm currently with this pool. Working nice and all, but I'm often wondering:
why can't pool operators make use of those little tweaks which make the site look truly pro?

- put a site logo with the web address in the browser address bar iso that dull blue MS e-logo
- pull the dashboard panels together so smaller screens have a chance to see all data w/o having to scroll up and down
- make the pages auto-size so you don't need to use zoom or scrollbars

I know it is a busy business this mining thinghy - and that most sites will be obsolete in the near future due to people giving up due to higher diff, but at least present the site nicely while running. it's pretty easy adjustments to make. not higher science.

I for one notice these little details subconsciously when entering a site - and sometimes I decide to go to the next site if the site is cluttered and not looking smooth..

it may seem counterintuitive to miners, but the higher the diff, the more you're gonna earn in the long run since what you've earned when diff was low, will get so much more valuable


you're only fucked if you start mining when it's already at 500 diff

if you're a dumper, you get fucked by high diff.

so again, high diff is a good thing. means dumpers have little to gain.
