Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Bter have lower withdraw limits yes. It seems its just for single operations though, because i did multiple withdraws in a row and they all went out fine.
I did some trading there and although i had some problems, they solved them. No repply from support though. What i can say is, same rule apply to all Exchanges: Dont put much money there.
All in all, i consider BTER safe, to a point.

another newbie with no activity and spelling mistakes telling us how great Bter is... and I have heard the opposite with people who want to withdraw doge. they had to reenter the same stuff over and over and over every 1000 doge I hope you guys realize that this "help" you offer yourself/Bter makes Bter look even more fishy

I'm amazed at some of these hashrates on Hackshard, I've seen numbers as high as 107 MH/s. High powered rigs run at approximately 3 MH/s and draw around 1400W, so all I can imagine is that there's a server farm out there with 33+ rigs drawing 46,200W.
Geezus...
First time I've felt inadequate at 35-40MH/s LOL. His farm is bigger than mine Fair play though, that's a big financial investment not to mention the time required to manage them. Must be one heck of an A/C setup too, I'm looking to expand to 70-80MH/s and I've calculated the cooling needs at around 10 tons. He'd be close to 15 tons, or approximately 180,000 BTU. What kind of returns are you getting on that man? Like you should be pulling some crazy money. It varies. Some days things are crazy in the Alt and BTC markets, and the best thing to do is mine something fairly stable like WDC at $400-450 per day. Last week was a good one as I spent it mining 22 million LOT ahead of the Cryptsy launch, and I was able to sell in smallish blocks averaging 62 Satoshis per coin during the first 24 hours post-listing. That worked out to just over 13BTC for the week. To use a baseball analogy, it's a lot of singles with the occasional home run. Out of that comes around $1,500 per month for electricity and another $400 per month for rent in an industrial building. Then there's paying off the initial $26,000 hardware investment, and making a 35% allowance for the IRS and State taking their cuts. I can't complain though, once the hardware is paid off in full it's good money. The downside is days like today when I was relaxing with family only to get a text alert about a hard GPU hang on one of the rigs that needed a reboot to resolve. Then the rig didn't come back up and I had to do a 20 mile round trip to press a freaking motherboard reset switch LOL. It's always something.

I ve heared so much things and so much of them were totally false... Here with bter I did not heared, I just have that experience.. Point is, you are trying to shade bter, that is all.. Now back to EAC, this is EAC thread and I think it nonsense to flame here whether bter is or is not reliable..

do they have a withdrawal fee by chance? that would explain low limits dude: NO ONE complains about being unable to withdraw 0.0000001 BTC cause of a fee
this is about having 5 mil doge in your account and they do not allow more than 1000 doge in one withdraw.
de facto, they do not allow you to take your money out, unless you want to spend a full week making manual 1000 doge withdraws
same is true for other coins. maybe not for all, I do not know, but I have heard the same about many currencies with criminally low limits.
that means LOW LIMIT ON MAXIMUM WITHDRAW

Lol ... I told exactly what my experience with BTER was. Very sorry for that!!! I swear ... people can be just retarded sometimes. Like i had some reason to promote Bter or any other of the crappy exchanges i have to use. Really ...

I know what he's talking about and it is huge just do some normal investing and stop gambling. gambling only always pays off for the house. in this case the moron who came up with that gaia scam

I know something you don't knowwwwww, dooodaaaaa dooooodaaaaaa dayyyyyyy. Sorry, I'm typsy, and happy, and I just got awesome but sensitive news, and it's new years. Everything is going better than according to plan (yeah right, 'plan', in this industry...). 2014 is going to start with a bang as promised News incoming in T-minus I don't know but I probably won't even be the one to announce or see it first . News incomming, is it announced yet? Was it the logo? Hard to track if it isn't by you
