random is better because: - now the x2 rewards does not give the constant miner any more coins than normal due to the higher extra power on the net - and diff rise.. - with a random reward you will have only those who are mining constantly - every day - getting extra coins - because hashrate would be fairly constant and diff as well |

Exactly. That's the real value in the x2/x5 thing, IMO. Gets more people involved. I have to say, I've been really impressed with EAC so far. It has a top notch name/concept, brand-wise, it looks amazing the dev team seems to have a distinct plan, and the community is growing at a natural, organic pace (rather than at an insane rate like some newer alts). I really think this one will be around when the dust settles. |

I just hope that when the time comes for 5X day that we don't get a 10x increase in network hash on that day only to get half the coins again vs 1X day.

I understand your reasoning - yes then it becomes more popular and more people will mine it - BUT - that is just miners - a closed circle of people on the planet so to speak.. The real strength of EAC - or any coin for that matter - is (as you also touch) the 'public face' of the coin: How can people, who have no idea of mining, get to know of, get hold of the coin and use it? In an easy and convenient manner that is.. The coin which can achieve this will be the big winner. |

Yeah this X2 and X5 is good on paper, but in practice not so much... I was getting way more coins before X2 started. It's almost worth it for me to switch to something else until tomorrow.

I guess price will drop pretty hard after 2X-day.. when pools/miners are done dumping..  Why do you think so? Diff grows up 2x, so with 2x payout rate, you just end up with same amount of coins as mined before this bonus day.. This bonus day is not that good for miners, but its nice that it again sparkles EAC comunity, lot of buzz around it again and it lurks some new miners and users who discover true value of EAC  I think it is great idea.. Statement not true. You may be getting same amount of coins because net hash rate and diff is doubled, but market will still have 2x more total coins on this day. This means, theres likely to be 2x more volume on selling side. At this point, there are far more profitable coins to mine and dump. I think EAC miners are holding for value instead of a simple dump. It wouldn't make sense to mine and dump at these prices. Just my opinion. |

I had to switch last night and jumped on a new coin....will mine it the rest of the day then dump and go back to EAC.....trying to decide how much EAC is enough to go long with and still pay the bills  |

the main reason why EAC is so worth mining right now, is that none of the big multicoin pools have latched on to it, due to EAC not being on cryptsy...
once we get on cryptsy, we at the very least get a spike in difficulty, which will make our (until now) mined coins worth a lot more |

I don't understand why Crypsty has not opened up a EAC market yet. CAT/BTC gets added almost instantly which is a stupid coin that is trying to get some of DOGECOIN's now dying hype.
that coin had the most failed release ever, it wasn't even working properly, errors everywhere, i've stopped mining after 2 hours i'm almost thinking to launch my own coin but do it properly after seeing so many so called attempts too many coins, too much low quality! |

at first I thought it is like that.. Having exact schedule is probably not that good.. but at least it will attract some attention once a while it's free publicity for Eac It's also dump mania right now, I wish I kept my Btc for today, Those who were patient enough to wait to buy are going to get alot of cheap coins today. Keep in mind that a lot of these ''2x miners'' will dump whatever they mine as soon as they get it and move on at the end of the day to mine something else. |
