this coin should be aimed to a more mature audience...
with only 12 million coins to be mined it will be rare and therefore has the possibility to demand high dollar.
just a thought...

Out of all the pools it's the only one that gives steady payouts that I've seen. How long are you waiting for before switching? Have to give it time to reward you.

people should give this some thought...
if you took all the money out of bitcoin and put it into doge doge would still be worth less than a dollar.
it can therefore afford to be toony, whimsy, and cute...
catcoin on the other hand, if you took all the money out of bit coin and put it into catcoin would be more than 1000 dollars a coin...
now what teenager do you know that can afford that?
how successful do you want this coin to be?
what is your demographic?
what is the market?
i think china and japan would be first and foremost...
once again just food for thought.

Coin value is fairly irrelevant for adoption. You can just buy fractions, after all. Once it gets on an exchange, at least.

Firstly, like Bitcoin Catcoins are divisible, so if a single catcoin becomes too expensive for an individual, then a fraction doesn't. People regularly deal in BTC to 3 decimal places. Secondly the coin isn't going to suddenly jump that high. Potentially it could reach as high as bitcoin, but how many altcoins have thought they could, I wonder?

I think catcoin will become quite valuable. I'm not sure if china will care as much about catcoin because they can't farm it like they do bitcoin.

i'm not saying it will be suddenly over night by any means.
and i'm not selling any fraction coins. nor will i deal in them...

But exchanges will.

i know this, i'm not new to the scene. i'm well aware of the divisional math...
i also know people psychologically like to deal in wholes...
why do you think they have change jars.
people don't want to count or think about the divided by 100000, so i have .00000005397 of and that's worth Huh

Given the current prices you're seeing, you wouldn't even have to be dealing in fractions; 1 CAT is fairly close to fiat values.

Price is going up even if not as fast as difficulty. We're heading to 1btc for 1k cat and in my opinion it will raise more.

Why do i think it will raise more?

1) Fair launch: no premine and many people mining the very first day.
2) Scarcity

Some people told me that they love my graphics, though I need more thoughts/opinions about it please  Cheesy

Yay I can finally post!  Grin
I made some graphics, kr105 told me this:
They look very good! Can you please post them in the main thread so everyone can see them? Cheesy

So here are things I tried:

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388054349-test-catcoin.png

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388054348-test-catcoin-2.png

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388054349-test-catcoin-3.png

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388054348-test-catcoin-4.png

EDIT: Made a splash screen: http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388056450-test-catcoin-5.png

What are your thoughts on it? I like the first coin, because it's fun, cute and aggressive, like the CATCOIN (everything went so fast, and price is rising very quickly).

I wish I could have mined more CatCoins, but with my 280KH/s not really that easy Sad

Sorry for my English, I am from France, I registered yesterday just to make some CatCoin graphics.

Lol, launch was the worst I've ever seen. Totally buggy, too late, respectless to all waiting miners etc.pp.

and you're finding my field of thought.
i think the coin needs a more mature appeal while staying cute and inviting
