Reaching $50k is really along way when the price of bitcoin has not been stable by only maintaining the upward trend because if that has been so, then we would have reached say $10000 mark but btc is a volatile currency where any announcement by a world power, actions or inactions with direct or indirect effect on btc will affects its price and this alone is a major stumbling block to achieving the $50k mark. Another thing to look at is if the price even keep up with the upward only movement, I see government coming in to curtail such because one of the strength of a country is its currency and anything that might undermine that, is a threat...
Bitcoin is on the radar already of many investors, traders and speculators, they are just waiting for the moment to invest, but I think if at some point it became clear bitcoin could pose a threat to the currencies of the most powerful countries then they will ban it. |

It seems the prediction was wrong, maybe bitcoin will reach that price but we have trouble breaking the maximum historic for bitcoin and until we do there is a psychological barrier that we have not overcome.
No psychological barrier, just plain old supply and demand. We do not have enough fools to fuel this rocket ships to such levels. My opinion there never will be enough. There is a psychological barrier, since the ones buying and selling bitcoin are persons breaking the maximum historic value will be a big event that all the bitcoiners are waiting but at the same time are afraid since they will be ready for the dump and will begin to sell their coins which lowers the price. |

People like to dream big and it is not at all a problem as you are not forced to pay any tax to see a dream but when it comes to reality i will die before the price reaches 50k because i dont have the heart to see the price of coin rising like this.  Lets see how the price will hold till the next halving and then we can discuss about these sort of values. |
