I want to give a friend a cryptocurrency for his birthday, but I can't decide which one is better. I have 5000 cardano and 2000 ripple. Tell me that it is better to leave to keep?

With current drop both of them would be good as they are standing at the same value anyway. So if it comes to the equivalent money then I am sure whether it is ripple or cardano both of them will be ideal one.

Or instead of that you can just ask him randomly about the crypto currencies and try to take out the information from him whether he likes the Ripple or Cardano? Once you get the clue then straight away gift him that currency. I mean that will make him more happy if he gets what he always wanted to have.  Wink

This is a 40-60 choice for me depending on your preference. Ripple has a larger market cap and is seen to be the more stable investment of the two for longer investment but on the other hand, I personally think that Cardano is a better option of the two. It has a smaller market cap hence has a larger potential to grow and make you a profit. Cardano also has its own new Consensus algorithm called  "Ouroboros Praos" (don't worry, I tried pronouncing it too until i researched it) that they feel has a lot of potential. They are trying to reach a large market of potential clients.

I would personally rather go with the option that has a bigger potential and is taking on more real world issues with more bravery. Cardano for the win.

This is an interesting question because in the amount will be approximately the same money. But I think that Cardano is a very promising coin, and Ripple does not.

if you look at the ratings of which are the most famous crypto-currency website in the world, then ripple is among the five most promising coins of the beginning of this year. I think the choice is obvious.

I prefer to keep cardano than ripple, at least cardano has a great whitepaper and their potential is huge compared to ripple centralized system. Once cardano platform is running they will become one of the leader of crypto like what ethereum doing right now, on the other hand ripple is only used by banks so it's not that important beside a speculative assets.

Ripple is a great potential for investment. the rise in December and then actually make a ripple into an altcoin predicted more expensive again. but for the moment certainly needs to process the ripple could return and much more than that. Cardano was also the right choice, slowly but can give you a very promising development.

Many people believe in the success of the Ripple coin, but not me.  And it seems to me better to invest in Cardano than Ripple.

I understand that you give a less promising coin to a friend? It's a pretty difficult choice, but I'd keep Cardano.

Cardano is far better than Ripple. Ripple is not a bad coin but I don't want to use it for its centralized system or behavior. I like Cardano doesn't mean I'm ignoring the potential of Ripple. Many people got success and it's a promising project.

If you give one of them, either ADA or Ripple, you will probably regret in the future when one of Altcoin does not grow as expected, while the other Altcoin grows rapidly. I think 1000 Xrp and 2500 ADA would be wiser because the current value of both may be almost the same.

Maybe you should give them both in the same portion as the rest. Just to keep if only one of those coins becomes a giant in the future, so you do not regret it.

Give one to your friend and say you are still holding the other. And if one becomes successful and the other does not, I think you can still share your success.

Both have a great potential, but we should not forget that ripple has been in here for more than a few years, and cardano is on the market since october of the last year, so i think that we do not even need to give an answer to the op.

In terms of scalability, Cardano can outperform XRP. According to the Zycrypto.com website, Cardano demonstrated a throughput of 257 transactions per second during the 20-second time period during the implementation phase. Although Ripple itself boasts good scalability, Cardano offers an innovative multi-level architecture superior to that of XPR.

Cardano for me anytime!

The time for ripple to me seems to be over and i really do not like it to be centralized somehow.

However do your own research on both coins. I do not own any Cardano but if you want me to choose, ADA is my choice

I suggest you hold cardano, because cardano is more potential than ripple. Nowadays many people are already choosing cardano, chances are this year cardano will make a surprise, with the price will rise. And give your friend a reward with ripple.

Both coins have the same potential. It would be a bit confusing to make this decision. Because their prices always go up even if not many, they are currently included in stable coins. It's up to you to give your friend what coins, very unfortunate for the potential coins just given away.

You better give Ripple as a gift for your friend and keep Cardano for your investment assets. As I know, Cardano has a greater potential to increase its price and will have a valued value in the future. So you will get many benefits from Cardano later.
