There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

TIPS was around for 3-5 days before we got it put up on coinedup, even then it was worth .00000001 btc. 1 satoshi. 5 days.

TIPS is undervalued because of lack of promotion from the DEV team, TIPS went to multipool.us pool on its own, to coinedup on its own and will go to coinmarketcap on its own and then furthermore on its own! I think its the most promesing coin that were launched in december!

One of the least promising i would say. Unless you mean with a lot more upswing possible. Surely long term you can't be thinking it will build any kind of community like doge? nobody seems interested in tips at all. It seems to have no new innovation, what seems promising about it? I am interested.

The good thing about these scrypt jane ones is that multipool dont seem to try them and they don't go on coin warz either. The sneak under the radar for quite a while. I got a lot of applecoins before it became impossible to mine it. But most too cheap. I will not be making those mistakes again.

If this is like applecoin it will not remain gpu for long it will be cpu only once the N factor rises.

Quoting: TIPS is awesome name.  Great retargets.  Nice for a quick gamble with a solo mining (You might get a large block
Who doesn't like Fedora's ?  And its the best large block size coin out there.

Applecoin was not this hard but it had less miners from the start i guess.

by the way about Applecoin.

http://www.btc38.com/trade.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=apc
http://www.btc38.com/trade.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=btc

So, 1K APC worth 0,28 - 0,29 BTC now.

I guess, that QQ would worth more than Apple. Smiley

applecoin
Max Coins: 50,000,000

QQ
max coins =30m

1k QQ 0.5 btc atleast

Bleh. Can't mine with GPU. I'd need a dummy plug for the ADL error.

Download the wallet
Download the miner

Save this as qqcoin.conf (using Notepad)
:
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
gen=0
port=20111
rpcport=20112
addnode=10.0.0.48
addnode=66.45.255.119
addnode=206.72.193.8

(set your own UN and password)

Put it in c:\users\(yourname)\AppData\Roaming\QQcoin\

Copy the Miner into the same folder as the wallet
Edit solominer.bat to have the same UN and Password as you set in the CONF file
Run the wallet QQcoin-qt.exe -server
Run solominer.bat

Get some coins!

If this helps you get coins please donate some to QfWTiJNTPfQKa3mdNDyxZgqqUsWVYZJ6Vv

Thanks and happy mining

Place it in this folder. Depending on your specific windows version it will be slightly different.

You will then need to start the wallet in server mode by navifating tot he folder that has the qqcoin-qt.exe file and typing: qqcoin-qt.exe -server and hit enter.

this will bring up the wallet. Then start mining.

For those asking about why the Hashrate seems so high.

This is part of the Scrypt-Jane GPU timing.
Initially Scrypt-Jane was meant to be CPU only mining. But then GPU was developed for it.

Basically at the coin launch, GPU mining will give you great efficiency... but over time that efficiency will drop.

So at the start, you may be getting  2 Mhash from a normal card... then after 1 day, it will be 1 Mhash, 2days after that it will be 500 Khash... etc

The intention is that for launch, it allows everyone to mine and give a solid coin distribution base.
But once it stabilizes and gets added to exchanges etc, you then want to have it so that everyone and anyone can mine.
So over time GPU efficiency drops and GPU mining gets closer and closer to CPU mining.

Why do you need the -server parameter? I didn't use it, and coins end up in Balance when using the GPU miner  Huh

It seems after APPLECOIN success there are a few of these types of coins coming out.

QQcoin is generating too quick though, the difficulty is not adjusting quick enough. already 6.5 Million coins available.

I have been watching VELOCITYCOIN which is meant to launch today. I have been following them on twitter  @velocitycoin
www.velocitycoin.com

they were meant to launch in like 5 hours time... but have just issued a delay notice because of Orphans. Maybe they watched the QQcoin launch and dont want to have similar problems.
