Next week we are going to publish new Moonlite commands and more details on how SMART LIKES work.

Moonlite is a decentralized operating system, based on Mooncoin blockchain, that runs smart likes.
Users input commands at forum or on their websites, a Moonlite web crawler recognizes commands and processes them automatically.
An Unix Timestamp is being used to avoid double executing.
Anyone will be able to run a web crawler after a test period.
A decentralized consensus of Moonlite holders will define which version of web crawler is trustable.
To use the Moonlite system common users will not need to install any additional soft.
Running a Moonlite web crawler will be like running a block explorer.

In the upcoming test version of Moonlite there will be some improvements:
users will not need to submit their Mooncoin addresses to test a full spectrum of Moonlite commands.

Edit: the information above is outdated.

Shoot for the Moon or Take It Slow? Tech Giants Talk Blockchain

A MOON related picture (and a headline) just a coincidence?
Or what do you think?

Meanwhile investors slowly buy MOON for 1 Satoshi:
https://bleutrade.com/exchange/MOON/BTC
It looks like investors are ready to buy for BTC, but probably they are discouraged a little with observing numerous dumps of small quantities of MOON on small -DOGE and -LTC markets during last weeks. Probably Mooncoin could only benefit from delisting small markets.
On the other hand it looks like a good opportunity if you buy on small markets now. Again, the problem is that only small quantities are available for trading there, that's why big investors would prefer to buy for BTC even if a price higher than one on dumped small markets. We are quite sure that anyway there will be bids at one Satoshi level sooner or later, sooner rather than later.
Investors will realize finally that Mooncoin is one of very few really interesting coins with no artificial buy walls nor ICO for millions of dollars,  it is a coin which gives a fair opportunity to any follower, who would like to join the blockchain evolution and to share its philosophy of decentralization.

Not bad at all, but you have to be more precise:
1. Why shall these giants buy Moon and not Ethereum or better: Why they shouldnt create its own blockchainrelated currencies (they could create a coin in few hours with their technical skills)?
2. Call me one single good, I can buy for Moon actually?
3. Which bitcoincore is implemented in Moon?
4. you will laugh, but I love moon from the first hour; but for me too much PnDs behind, which could destroy all hopes for a untouched coin! Wink
5. Lets discuss here some stuff, because like u already maybe know, we began with the Mission: Federated Blockchain Initiative. All devs with their coins are welcome here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=901605.0

Thank you for your comment.
To be more precise:
1. we don't think these giants will buy Moon or Ethereum right now.
The question was why Coindesk published an article with the Moon theme at the moment when the new Moonlite technology was being tested. A coincidence? Or do they read us? If they read, it is a good sign. Coindesk is the most trustable media source in the crypto world.
2.

Bad news the closure of coinwallet.co ! what a pity ! It was a nice service....
Yes, 3rd party services often fail to work, especially over long term.
Coinex, coingateway, now coinwallet...

We had been trying to implement a gateway to buy things online for Mooncoin on Amazon, eBay etc. via Coingateway in 2015, but they had stopped delivering their service, of course we could try something else, but finally we have realised that any 3rd party service is not 100% reliable, and that if you buy something for Mooncoin now, you are dealing with third-party services...

A decentralised platform Moonlite is a solution which has to help to build a reliable environment for using MOON on a daily basis, and independently from 3rd-party services and we believe that this strategy will be more successful over long term.

Mooncoin is rather a platform, than a currency. The question is not what you can buy with it, it's easy to create a marketplace, the question is will people want to buy with it, or not. If people don't want to buy with Mooncoins, it doesn't matter what you can buy with it in theory. If common people don't want or don't need really to use smart contracts, it doesn't matter if this service is available or not.
A base of real users, and which technology people really need - that matters. A new technology Moonlite will run smart likes, and that will be more interesting, than just buying something, and more easy to understand and available for common people than unstoppable contracts (the contracts are rather for companies and a question is will companies use it on a daily basis or not, really? and there are many solutions for smart contracts now, and why use ETH if there is Rootstock for example which runs smarts contracts with Bitcoins and you don't need another fuel).

3. if you compile from a github mooncoin-landann project, it is based on the up-to-date Litecoin core, updated by gjhiggins in 2016.
4. thank you, yes, Mooncoin is often called a beloved coin and yes, 2014 was an year of PnDs, now it's more stable and people say it's stable:

I have supported Mooncoin for a long time now and will always support it. It's price may be low right now but it is one of the most stable coins out there in regards to price.

Edit: a price of MOON below 1 Satoshi is not healthy and not stable: serious investors don't care about non BTC markets and miners are selling their coins for any available price, community members look at dumping from miners and think the price will be lower, they are waiting for lower price to buy... That's a closed circle: community members want to buy a lot, but they wait and wait, miners sell cheap while they could sell for BTC, small speculators are trying to dump and rebuy, serious investors don't see MOON while it's not actively traded for BTC.
Then a next price level is achieved (due to global reconsideration of MOON potential over long term) and: miners have sold their coins cheap already, community members and serious investors haven't bought cheap, speculators have bought, but have dumped asap to get a small profit, almost everyone is in a bad mood. Why don't miners place their sell orders at 1 Satoshi at Bleutrade? Probably they believe that 27 BTC is too much for all potential investors together, and their orders will never be executed.

5. thank you for trying to unite altcoins together, it's a good initiative, united independent altcoin republics, better than one Single coin Empire, be it any big coin.

To have a MOON rich list and other useful features (to see how many transactions, funded addresses, hashes/s MOON has) which were available on multifaucet.tk, we need to get a Premium status for Mooncoin.

Next week we are going to publish new Moonlite commands and more details on how SMART LIKES work.

The Moonlite test version description

What is Moonlite?
Moonlite is a decentralized operating system, based on Mooncoin blockchain, that runs SMART LIKES.
Users input commands at forum or on their websites, a Moonlite web crawler recognizes commands and processes them automatically.
An Unix Timestamp is being used to avoid double executing.

What is moonlite?
Moonlite bonuses (or moonlite, or briefly ML) is what you need as a necessary element for operating the Moonlite platform.
Every Moonlite bonus (or moonlite) is an intangible thing. It is a "like", an approval, a favor, a good wish, which you can send to a project or to an asset, which you like.

What do I need to start using Moonlite?
To input a command in your new post at Bitcointalk.

Is it safe?
Yes. You don't need to install any additional soft. Moonlite is not for sale, you cannot buy it. It is a safe mode now, a test period.

EDIT: The Moonlite information above is OUTDATED!

Moonlite command line usage examples

Note: a Moonlite block explorer writes your command output to http://mooncoin.com/unixtimestamp you input in your command.txt with an interval of 15 minutes. To input the current Unix Timestamp in your command, visit http://unixtimestamp.com.

To send moonlite to any Bitcointalk account from your Mooncoin address

moonlitecommandline: sendtoforum receiver user_____ quantity quantity of moonlite you send from your Mooncoin address tx TX id unixtimeUnixTimestamp !tothemoon

Example: if you want to send moonlite to Mooncoin_Foundation, receiver is user512130 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=512130). For another receiver, click on Bitcointalk user's profile to get user's number. If you want to send 500 moonlite, quantity is 500.
Then send exactly 512130.321500 (user's number, point, 321-a constant prefix which indicates a Moonlite-related transaction,  the quantity of moonlite you send) Mooncoins from Mooncoin address to the same Mooncoin address (from your address to your address). Use tx id of this transaction. An user with the number 512130 will get 500 moonlite. If you want to send 777 moonlite to the Bitcointalk account 123456, send yourself 123456.321777 Mooncoins. Before inputting a command, make sure a ML balance of your Mooncoin address is sufficient.

To send moonlite to any Mooncoin address/website/Bitcointalk account from your Bitcointalk account

moonlitecommandline: sendfromforum receiver quantity quantity of moonlite you send unixtimeUnixTimestamp !tothemoon

A receiver can be Mooncoin address, any website (http://.........), a Bitcointalk account (user...... click on user's Bitcointalk profile to get user's number).

Sending moonlite from your website

moonlitecommandline: sendfromweb http://yourwebsite.com unixtimeUnixTimestamp !tothemoon

Note: before inputting this command, make sure you have a mlsend.txt file in a root directory of your website with a command
toaddress:Mooncoin address or any website or any Bitcointalk user;quantity:quantity of moonlite you send;unixtimeUnix Timestamp

Checking a moonlite balance

moonlitecommandline: mlbalance any Mooncoin address/website/Bitcointalk account unixtimeUnix Timestamp !tothemoon

Adding a project that contributes to scientific or social progress - to the Moonlite platform

moonlitecommandline: addproject http://officialwebsiteofproject description http://a weblink where project's description is available unixtimeUnix Timestamp !tothemoon

Note: before adding a project with this command, make sure that you have 5000 or more Moonlite bonuses on your balance and that you really specify an official website of the project. 5000 moonlite will be automatically sent from your balance to the official website of the project which you submit.
That is an element of how SMART LIKES work: the project will get your 5000 ML and project's admins (and no one else) will be able later to send moonlite from their website with the command sendfromweb (after creating a mlsend.txt file containing a proper command in a root directory of their website).

From this time forward the submitted project is available for SMART LIKES. It doesn't make any sense to add any spam or not interesting projects, as you just waste your 5000 moonlite in this case. But if you find and submit a project which is really interesting and contributes to scientific or social progress, you may benefit from being a first "investor" of SMART LIKES in this project, as other people may want to follow you.
In addition Mooncoin volunteers will try to contact owners/admins of interesting projects to inform them about MOON and how they can get and use their donation of moonlite from the Mooncoin community. Please note that if you add a project, 5000 ML is a non refundable contribution to the project you submit, and to benefit from SMART LIKES you must "invest" additional moonlite with a command LIKE after the project is added.

LIKE something with moonlite

moonlitecommandline: like: what you want to like ml:quantity of moonlite you want to convert to likes unixtimeUnix Timestamp !tothemoon

UNLIKE something with moonlite

moonlitecommandline: unlike: what you want to unlike likes:quantity of likes you want to unlike and they will be converted to moonlite unixtimeUnix Timestamp !tothemoon

Note: to unlike something you must first like it.

EDIT: The Moonlite information above is OUTDATED!

I would like to add to the request here for active download links to the wallets, either on the og thread or on a new one please?

Thank you

I just spent 5 min looking for a windows version wallet on google and I'm still without one. It shouldn't take any effort to find and dl a wallet.

You are right and at the same time you are not completely right. Yes, OP is outdated.
But if you know the official website of Mooncoin, you will not need a lot of time if you want to download an original wallet.
To find out which website is official, you need only to look at signatures of the most active Mooncoin members or to google a word "Mooncoin".
Another problem is that while devs control everything, they are able to implement whatever they want into a wallet's file which you want to google or download, be it malware, a fork with which people don't agree, or anything.
To prevent any centralization, Mooncoin's development is completely decentralized, that's why we use checksums to define which wallet is original one, and the most active members of Mooncoin community with their posts verify which checksums are correct and which wallet is official at the moment.

Thank you.
Yes, an original post is outdated, and we really need to fix it, but we cannot change it as an original dev has been unavailable since 2014. We even don't know if he is OK, as he had reported health problems in 2014.

We need to create a new thread with up-to-date info, but we are not devs, just investors, like you, and if you share our philosophy of decentralization you understand that even devs shouldn't create a new thread with no permission from the community.

So, first of all, Mooncoin users must approve a creation of new thread and its title.
Do you agree with the title? :

That's quite impossible to organize (if you mean how call options or warrants work) and besides there would be many legal issues. If you just create a new coin with swap 1:1000, again how to organize a swap, who will control the process and how about decentralization? What if miners don't agree and will continue mining MOON on its main blockchain? What if holders (or some of them) don't want to swap 1000 mooncoins for 1 ML? Or exchanges may not agree with it. And investors don't like coins with swaps.

Now Mooncoin is time-tested and has never changed its rules, that's great. And in fact it's not possible to change its rules until all users agree, but we have so many users and some of them haven't visited this thread since 2014.

Moonlite is not a currency, it's a platform, based on Mooncoin blockchain.
Mooncoin holders (who actually will hold Mooncoin at the moment when a test period is finished, the date will be discussed and announced months before, of course) will get moonlite (1ML=1000 Mooncoins) free of charge. Holders will not exchange or lose their Mooncoins, they get moonlite as a bonus.
But after that moonlite becomes a very rare asset, with no real inflation, nor dumping from miners. And you can do a lot of interesting stuff with moonlite, it's more flexible than any coin, but at the same time it has the most important advantages of crypto: you can send it to your Mooncoin address and to keep it there, and later send from your address only if you have an access to your Mooncoin wallet, so it's protected and decentralized as a classic crypto.

At the same time you can transfer it partially to your website, or to your Bitcointalk account, to use on a daily basis without Mooncoin wallet. Just like people use online web wallets, blockchain.info, etc. if they don't want to synchronize a wallet. But a great advantage of moonlite is that you don't depend on online web wallets admins!

Edit: also what do you think of idea of sending a very small quantity of moonlite to every Bitcointalk's account to involve all Bitcointalk users during an initial distribution of Moonlite bonuses?
