Any exciting updates for Mooncoin? Can't wait for it to see it skyrocket to the moon! There is one dev who can implement DigiShield to protect small miners and to add more security to the network. Anyway it will require a mandatory upgrade of wallet. Another feature that could be implemented (if you support it) could be another scheme for block rewards in future. You know that Bitcoin has block halving. That means less and less coins from mining in future. It works. Mooncoin has a fixed 29531 MOON currently. It's about 1 billion MOON per month. People mine and dump it on a daily basis and never let a price rise. So Mooncoin needs a normal scheme of block halving. A 384 billion limit can be still actual, but it can be reached after some million light-years, for example. If exchanges (Cryptopia and Bleutrade) support a new algo, people will have to use a new wallet with DigiShield and block rewards halving (especially if they want to dump their Mooncoins again, as an old wallet will not work then). What do you think of it? I personally like the idea of a normal scheme of block halving and the digishield approach.

It is good to see this coin up and running for 1+ years... Did deaconboogie ever return to this thread? You guys made big progress as I could see that you moved out of the 5 Litoshi range from Cryptsy... Now it is around 9 Litoshi Not bad considering the ups and downs from the daytrading people. I hope that everyone made their money

For 2+ years, launched in Dec 2013... Did deaconboogie ever return to this thread? You guys made big progress as I could see that you moved out of the 5 Litoshi range from Cryptsy...
No, since July 2014. Now it is around 9 Litoshi 9 Litoshi is a fake price at Cryptopia where there are almost no buy orders currently, at the most active and actual MOON market at Bleutrade it's about 15-16 Litoshi, and it's not a fair price either, in fact it's due to Mooncoin is not listed at any large exchange currently, when it was at Cryptsy, an average volume of 3-30 BTC per day made fake prices not viable, now it's being barbarously and artificially dumped on small exchanges on small volumes. 24 Hr Moon volume on Cryptsy is 29 BTC (in LTC). DOGE/LTC volume is just 2 BTC, IFC/LTC volume is 8 BTC. Mooncoin had and has pretty good liquidity last month. Probably Mooncoin has even become the most active LTC market in the world during this period. Not bad considering the ups and downs from the daytrading people. I hope that everyone made their money
How about people who were buying MOON in 2014 for 1-30 Satoshi? The biggest trading volume was then. Have they made their money? Bought some for 10 sats. It wont go down, and always a chance to increase. Good bargain me thinks.

It's still working in a test mode, unfortunately people don't use it, probably they cannot understand it or have no time to test it. The new advanced version of the Moonlite platform is in progress and will be announced in October-November. Posting commands will be 'mining' ML, to motivate people to input commands. It will contain a detailed how-to manual, but if people don't want to use it again, it will not help.
Ok. Still, it is a very interesting concept and if it gains enough use then it could make Mooncoin even more convenient for use. The coin has a very attractive price by the way, making it one of the most inexpensive cryptocurrencies on the market to buy and hold for long term. There is one dev who can implement DigiShield to protect small miners and to add more security to the network. Anyway it will require a mandatory upgrade of wallet.
Another feature that could be implemented (if you support it) could be another scheme for block rewards in future. You know that Bitcoin has block halving. Sounds great. I mean, the block halving and Digishield will definitely improve Mooncoin's popularity and interest as this may probably cause a price increase by the scarcity of the coin. I'd say we go for it.

The Mooncoin community is very large, unfortunately not active currently. It seems like people don't want to see Mooncoin in top 50-100 coins.
For example, premined Gulden with a small community: NLG (which is being traded at Bleutrade and Bittrex, not at Poloniex!) had a market cap of $300,000-$500,000 several months ago, now its market cap is $10,000,000-$20,000,000, congrats to the NLG investors! Mooncoin is fair with no premine, with more than 42,000 funded addresses, many users are from Netherlands, too, and Bittrex listing looks real in future, please indicate some activity, post at least sometimes.

Great, thank you, Abiky, metamorphin, Bitbobb, polemarhos, killerjoegreece, burzuks, CryptoDatabase and other supporters, thank you for your votes! If people want something to be done, e.g. a new thread, DigiShield etc. and yet you haven't shared your opinion here, please PM, especially people who run full Mooncoin nodes! And people who have coins stuck at Cryptsy and who want to get Moonlite bonuses in future for their coins at Cryptsy, please PM, too.

If it's a big percentage it could explain why mooncoin has a low price. Big Vern tried is dumping any high value coins that were in Cryptsy and it's putting people off buying them. He's destroyed the value of numerous good coins.

Or if you want to compile a wallet by yourself, there is a Mooncoin open source code at Github.

About 70 billion (one third of available supply). We have no information regarding Big Vern's dumping them. Coins are still at top addresses. If you know for sure that Big Vern does have a control on them (Cryptsy Receivership persons yet haven't shared any Mooncoin-related info with our members), then maybe it's a good idea to raise some funds for a private detective who could find him in China.

I recommend doing one of the above at least asap. Like now because this is happening now.

Fixed Rewards vs. Halving
Fixed block rewards:
many investors (let's say 1000) would like to buy MOON -> but they understand MOON has an inflation of 1 billion MOON per month and a price can be lower (as it is being mined and dumped on a daily basis) -> 997-998 investors wait and don't buy, 2-3 (out of 1000) are buying -> a price is lower and lower -> less miners -> the network hashrate is lower and lower -> people have no faith and indicate no activity -> people who already have MOON try to sell it -> the price is below 1 Satoshi -> no MOON listing at large exchanges -> less investors -> there is a closed circle...
Halving:
~1000 investors would like to buy MOON -> and they understand there will be less and less mined coins in future -> 999 investors don't wait and buy -> a price is higher and higher -> more miners -> the network hashrate is greater and greater -> people have faith and the community is active -> new talented supporters come -> people who already have MOON try to buy more -> entering the BTC market and MOON listing at large exchanges -> more investors - > next levels of development.
You decide.
