You have to fork it again or it will die this way  Angry

nah ... just increase hashrate in small pool.

1-2 Ghash will be OK .
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Hashrate is increasing in the pools so it's really just a matter of riding out this drop in price until we are stable.

I paid for my 1.7 billion tips and it cost me about 880ltc. Now why would i buy so many tips you may ask. I could have dumped them at 100ltc but held on. I could dump them now and break even but I won't. The reason I payed so much money was because of the name TIPS, thats all.

I don't like the E logo at all as it doesn't mean tip.

I used to work in advertising as an art director and there is an advertising saying for the people that came up with creative ideas. Kill your baby. Im sure whoever came up with the E logo and orange colour scheme loves it. loves it like there own baby. Your baby is ugly, trust me. believe it, don't let your ego get in the way and kill the baby.

Now work on the USP "Tip". It should be promoted to bar, hotel staff, servers, people that accept tips. An upside-down fedora hat is a clever visual for a logo. it says tip without having to read tip. FAST COMMUNICATION is what its all about. If you can change the name to just tip coin then that would make it much easier to promote too.

Ill leave the technical side of the coin to the developers but when it comes to design and promotion I'm not going to stand aside and let a bunch of computer geeks destroy a great brand.

Well said mate Wink

Agreed - fedora coin is to much of a mouthful.

Tipcoin rolls off the tongue.

"TipCoin"...hmmmmmmm

NEW ALGORITHM IS WORKING !

OK, tired of seeing all those posts "not working" "multipools" blah blah I decided to state it once again.
New algo is working, and our hard fork is a great success.

Lets start with nonbelievers. Below you have a graph of few following blocks, I screenshoted them. It is from fedora coin pool.
Lets analyse this thing.

OK.

Difficulty- obvious one- check each screen shot-difficulty is changing constantly.
So first myth "new algo not working" IS FALSE
second myth "new algo is not alternating with each block" IS FALSE

Est Next Difficulty - this is the tricky one- it looks like pool is trying to find expected goal diff with current
network hashrate, and KGW is slowly moving to this target- it is veeery fine movement.
thrid myth "difficulty is not recalculating" IS FALSE

Change in X Blocks- this part is broken obviously, but it is not KGW algo fault, but recalculators set in pool.

Average Block Time - blocks do take a bit shorter than expected, algorithm is as I stated before: very fine and precise.

So if anyone says that algorithm is not working or working wrong: YOU ARE WRONG.

Kimoto Gravity Well implementation in Fedora is fully functional and properly operating !

No to the final fix of multipools problem.

Fix is unbeliveably simple: sign out of multipool and direct all hashpower to small pools.
What are multipools doing is filling the hashrate holes between difficulty changes. Lets fill them ourselves, and multis are gone.
Also fedora is highly profitable.
So many coins mined and we are holding still, this means a lot.

SO

get involved in fedora, mine, advertise, tell other people, buy tips and enjoy the enlightenment.

and above all- do not state things that you are not 100% sure, or have no idea what is happening.

Soooo, With the Fork and all, if I was using Multipool, (I know, booo, hiss, evil) and I have pending deposits from yesterday to Cryptsy (again boo, hiss, evil), what are the chances those TIPS are gone forever? I don't mind waiting a couple of days for them to show up, I am not really trading anything there I just didn't want to install 30 wallets, lol. But I would like to know if I have lost anything. Even that is simply fodder to torture myself with in the future when the 100K I lost is worth a BILLION dollars.

Thanks for any info.

using Multipool
Booooo! Hiss! Evil !  Wink

I had transfers failed from coinedup to cryptsy. I contacted coinedup and they fixed it. I would contact multipool, I think they are the only ones whho can fix it.

I hope you will get your coins back !

A major reason for our price going down lately is the fact that Dogecoin has gone from 155-260 in 3 days. It kills me a little bit more each day remembering how I sold 2 Million for 51.......but that aside we cannot expect to have an injection of capital when there is a better investment currently in Dogecoin.

We will have to wait for Doge to come down before we see another buy up of TIPS - rest assured however that it WILL happen. We are currently the most profitable coin on Multipool with it changing between mining DOGE and TIPS every hour or so.

Remember that the number of coins entering the marketplace after block 51,000 has increased quite substantially - what we are seeing now is a price correction.

As long as this coin remains profitable for miners it will be a sleeping giant. MOON was taken up 13,000% in 12 hours - it CAN and WILL happen to TIPS in due course.

Problems with depositing tips to coinedup?

I am afraid that currently some exchanges may be taking DOS attacks, so I would say- stay cool.
There is a lot happening lately in crypto world, do not panic, just stay calm and wait another 24hrs.

My dogies were transferring almost 24hrs from pool to exchange, and don't even ask what is
happening with my local fiat <> btc exchange (Central Europe).

Do not panic, just wait a little bit longer, everything should resolve itself soon.

Even with the latest client and deleting everything but the wallet.dat I cannot get the wallet to sync. Its been two days. I'm still stuck on block 13980.

Is there anywhere I can download the blockchain outright? Like a torrent?
