The fact is that we cannot do the dev work, like creating a new front page or changing the subreddit logo.


We already did a good work, helped by Fayens and, well I will call him Mr. X as I don't remember his name, Mr. X who designed a beta website.

We raised awareness about the coin, the number of followers in the subreddit is slowly but constantly increasing.

Some of us came with new idea currently in developpement like the YouTube tipping app.


Let's continue this work instead of complaining about ourselves. The more idea we come with, faster this coin will go.


To All don't forget to go also on Reddit and on the IRC channel if you want to talk to the dev. But I really think we need to stay also a bit on bitcointalk, which is far more accessible to newbies. Remember we have to show people the image of a fun and dedicated communitie.


Finally, don't forget we are in weekend, and that many of us have a life aside of TiPS. There will be more activity tomorrow.

The real reason for Fedoracoin TIPS was a Joke/Meme the Dev said, and was designed for just throwing coins at each other, but since it got more popular Invisible is changing a lot of things.

Triffin, you're awesome!! and all of you guys still posting and working. the devs are all 'invisible' and I have no idea what they are up to. We as a community would take action and do stuff, but as it turned out we can't if the devs don't like it?! but where are they?! 3 weeks +, we could have done so much but nothing because we are waiting for i don't know what anymore. but that needs saying has already been said and I would be just repeating my self and what you all said. I hope invisibel shows up very soon and we discuss all the stuff that has been posted. If this takes another week and there is no action, then I don't like where things are going.. we need a new radical change in how things are going or otherwise we're wasting our precious time here..

This happened before when TIPS was at 2 Liteoshi on Coined Up, Community Takeover happened & as TIPS grew in price again, Invisible came back & all our work was for nothing, Even a New Logo & working with the Fedoracoin Payment Platform Team.

And this is what needs to happen again. Once the community took over back then TIPS started to grow and went to 90 Litoshi at Coinedup = around 2 Satoshi.
And then when it was added to Crypsty hited the 160 litoshi barrier. All this because the community stood behind TIPS and made it happen. It was not Invisble that made it happen.
SO if the community wants to see TIPS again trading at higher values which it should be trading by now. The community needs to take over again and implement the ideas you have created so far and continue to work on better ideas and spread TIPS on media social networks!
My suggestion is to create again another topic with the Triffin OP information about TIPS if everyone agrees and from there continue the development!

We should hijack the marketing.  Let's launch a new website focusing on the THE INTERNET PAYMENT SYSTEM and roll out a professional image-- one that's free of goofy memes and atheist innuendo.  The devs can follow our lead.

I admit I haven't followed this coin very closely, but have a couple of newbie questions.

What is up with the name? I mean, typically the name of the coin is the simplest thing to get right, yet there seems to be a problem deciding whether it's fedora coin, tips coin, or some bizarre combination (Tips aka Fedora)?

Is there a transaction fee for mixing and is it fully integrated and working? If no transaction fee, logically one would think it'd be a pretty big deal. If a fee, not sure why it'd be better than something like Darkcoin.

My personal opinion is that the fedora meme is idiotic and no idea why anyone would prefer Fedora Coin over Tips as a name. The new coin design is really nice too. Tips with some built in tippers for websites like youtube and such would be logical and make a ton of sense .... so what is the problem? The lead developer wants to stick with the fedora name/meme yet the community is using common sense?

I have about half a million Tips, so it's not very much at all. Just wondering if I should bother buying a couple of million, or at this point it may be a downward spiral until the dev can get his act together.

Darkcoin dev just announced the release of Darksend! The first completely anonymous coin... no more paying 2%.... Its been announced on the darkcoin thread...Damn I wish we had gained more traction with fedora before this!

2. FWA has rejoined the project.

What does this mean? He is going to be the one on the fedoracoin team that is in charge of community management. He will be the one we see on here more often than not and will keep the ideas flowing between the different communities......reddit, IRC, forums, BCTalk.
He will be back in action next week, hold tight folks.

3. The name is staying as Fedoracoin.

The name of the coin is staying as Fedoracoin. The ticker is staying as TIPS. TIPS is planned to be more prominently displayed in the logo and marketing though. This is why it was changed back on coinmarketcap. At the request of the developers.

4. Graphic design

We know the logo is being designed, but so is the wallet. The wallet is being completely overhauled in terms of look and feel. Yes it will be something different then what you know as a wallet today.

5. The wallet itself

There were changes mentioned earlier in the thread about RPC user management. This is in development and when it is completed it will be explained more in detail. The short of it is, it will be possible to set up web wallets that use the local daemon to keep the coins safe.

You are preaching to the choir.  If you want this to get to the right audience, YOU MUST GET ON IRC!

It seems idiotic to me to keep that name and use a ticker of TIPs. I don't get the appeal of this fedora meme thing myself.
