When I try to launch, it is just crashing,

if i write -printtoconsole, something sliding on screen but I don't even have a wallet adress to mine.

This thing will crash soon.

I'm a newbie trying to mine for first time on Mac OSX

When I enter the 1GH details (or anything) in my wallet and try to start mining I get the following error message:

"Miner failed to start. Make sure you have the minerd executable and libraries in the same directory as MaxCoin-QT."

Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?

that is because it is a VIRUS
i caught a guy other day posting a maxcoin miner that was packed the same way and i called him out on it.

Trust me i am a cracker and coder for over a decade and i reversed that other malware with OllDBG
and this one is packed the same so i have no doubt it is using the same exact exploit package..
I also don't trust this guy saying he found it somewhere and can't remember where.. ya right lol
I have been watching ALL the maxcoin related topics and not one guy mentioned finding a cgminer for the pool etc
and there would be many comments so that guy is again lying i think..
