Am I missing something.

The coin is branded as a coin meant to be used as gift cards, yet when using paper wallets you must import your keys to spend the money.

So to actually use as a gift card....
1. You would have to use the entire amount and just import key in to sellers wallet.
2. Send coins from card to online wallet to send to seller.
3. Lose your remaining coins.



Is this true or am I missing something about paper wallets?

Love this coin, because it has a direct niche. Although this is a carbon copy of other coins, it provides a reason for use - gifting. As aforementioned in the OP, if Giftcoins are adopted in many stores they will be more useful than gift cards, thus making Giftcoin a useful coin. Hope to see it grow!

I'm pretty sure I've already posted in here telling why I think this coin is awesome. But for the sake of this giveaway I'll do it again.

Unlike other forks of scryptcoins this one offers a unique concept/idea, gifting coins with actual giftcards is really THE way to get more people into cryptocoins as it'll be easier for people to get into it.
Also, the developers seem fairly competent which we don't see very often with new coins nowadays.
