This coin does not offer a unique concept at all and whoever thinks it does should give their head a shake.

Gift cards --> all coins can have a paper wallet, this type of wallet CANNOT be used like a gift card, unless you use all the funds at once.

Second, they are not even making the cards, as soon as it came time to mine the dev switched to
"there was some confusion we will only be making templates to be used on the cards"

First you make website with online wallet

You send X amount of GFT to that wallet

You generate your gift card

why all the negativity?  coin has a following, a decent logo, services being developed for it - and most importantly, it will introduce more and more people worldwide to cryptocurrency! Isn't this the goal?  Cheesy

I mined for an hour last night @ 1.5MH/s and didn't earned anything. I don't know if it's going to take 24 hours for me to see it.

It will take a while because difficulty is high, for the transactions to confirm. PM me your info, will look into it.  Thanks!

Community Action Alert!

GIFTCOIN was so friggin popular that we had multi GIGAHASHES on the network -- and they left when difficulty jumped too high!  Can't blame them right?  CAT had this same exact issue - and they had to fork the code to make transactions quicker.  Right now it's not profitable to mine this coin, thus the low hashrates.  I say we only have 3 options.
1) Get this thing onto an exchange and generate real demand (web devs PM the OP please -- plenty of to-do's)
2) We start mining the crap out of this thing NOW (get everyone you know mining)
3) Pool operators agree on the source code fork to make mining profitable again.

Believers please respond with ideas.

Disclaimer -- I am not affiliated with the DEV -- just a pool operator believing that this coin could go to outer space.  Who's with me???

Oh and to the OP -- your coin will lose respect and very quickly unless you start taking some days off from whatever it is you do -- launching a coin is a full-time gig my friend!

Dev doesn't care. Thats why i stopped mining with my 10mh/s farm.
If you would be the dev i would definitely mine the shit out of this coin.
He doesn't even do giveaways, he's just waiting for the coin enter an exchange and dump it hard.

First you make website with online wallet

You send X amount of GFT to that wallet

You generate your gift card

I get this but when using a paper walet you must send the entire balance to an online wallet to spend the coins. So if you were to say take the gift card to use at a store you would have 1 of these options.

1. Make wallet on site and send GFT coins.
2. To spend you will have to import the private key to the sellers wallet.
3. In this way you will be able to spend the entirety of the card.

or

1. You make your online paper wallet card
2. You go to store to spend.
3. You transfer coins from card to online wallet (presumably on phone)
4. You send the appropriate amount of coins to the seller to make the purchase.

In scenario 1 if the purchase is 2 GFT and the card has 20 GFT, the other 18 GFT will also be given to the seller. Maybe I am missing something about importing private keys.

In scenario 2 you might as well not have a GFT card since you have to transfer twice more to make the actual purchase. And then the change will be in your online wallet so the GFT card will be empty and useless.

Am I missing something?

I am flattered  Cheesy, but can't in good conscience take this thing over -- until I clear up my schedules, at least.  Let's see what the OP has to say and we'll go from there.  I've been 200x more active than the DEV himself while trying to fend off some kid accusing me of scamming him on the baconbits yum coin pool I'm running.

We already have Dogecoin being used as a gift coin / tip coin.

Currently Dogecoin has more daily transactions than any other coin because of all the gifts and tips being sent everywhere.  I can't imagine doing this with only 21 million coins.

Interesting:
