come to think of it, when I listened to the video I also noticed that he was making statements loudly and with long pauses, definitely plausible that he was drunk !  haha    =)

Hello kind Sirs,
Is there any way to monitor the evolution of the price of XCP, and the trades done without installing everything?
Sorry for my newbie question, and have a nice day!
http://www.blockscan.com/order.aspx?p=1 is a bit messy but you can see the bids and asks and partially completed trades to get a feel for where the market is

I am working in MS Windows. When I run the "send" command:

C:\Python32\python.exe run.py send --from=1xx --quantity=xx --asset=XCP --to=1xx

I keep getting the following error:  'Private key for address xxxxxyyyyzzzz is not known', 'Code -4'

This is weird because when I run the "wallet" command:  C:\Python32\python.exe run.py wallet     I see both the origination and destination wallets reported, so the wallet addresses involved in the "send" are definitely being recognized as valid wallet addresses by the Counterparty client.

This issue may potentially be tied to another problem I am having with importing private keys, although I am not 100% certain.  The issue is that only 3 of 5 of the private keys in my blockchain.info account seem to be recognized in my Bitcoin-Qt client despite trying to import the remaining 2 private keys several times.  I worry that my database associated with Bitcoin-Qt has somehow become corrupted, but I don't know.

Does anyone have an idea on what to do?

Perhaps this is a similar issue to Post #2261 by MitBit.

I remember to have read somewhere (must have been somewhere within this topic because I cant find it in the OP) that people are responsible themselves to do x (don't remember what that term was; maybe "activate", "import"?)  with their XCP when y (some kind of launch?) is announced.

You see that I dont have much of a clue anymore what I read there Smiley Just dont wanna miss anything.
Bottomline question: Can I just hold my XCP (burned with blockchain.info wallet) for ever/month and do nothing without having to worry about anything?

If someone can create a program with transaction prices from counterpartyd, I could display it on a webpage.

It wouldnt be anything fancy, but we would be able to see the price on a chart. Something like on this page: http://www.ripplequotes.com/charts/

I just need the code that parses the transaction list into a nice easy format for me.

There is a latest price snapshot for the DEX exchange available on the main page. Once there is sufficient data, I will look into a price historical chart. However, given that we have more than 100 assets listed I will only work on the BTC/XCP charts on the dex

I am slowly making my way through the order page to clean it up a bit. I've already added some filters. If you have any suggestions please feel free to post it here..

The reddit page registered by the Counterparty Team is reddit.com/r/counterparty_xcp

Important clarification:reddit.com/r/counterparty was not registered by the Counterparty team; it was registered by prophetx, who is the communications lead for Mastercoin; reddit.com/r/xcp was also not reigstered by the Counterparty team, and both of its moderators appear to be associated with Mastercoin, as well.

I have this one registered and can turn it over:
http://www.reddit.com/r/XCPCounterparty/

Thanks very much, SyRenity, I've PMed you.

The concern re: /r/xcp and /r/counterparty is not that their moderators may be Mastercoin investors, but that their statuses within Mastercoin (ProphetX as an employee and r00tdem0n and mavensbot as /r/mastercoin moderators) suggests very strongly that their position as moderators on Counterparty subreddits poses a serious conflict of interest, especially since, as far as I know, r00tdem0n and mavensbot have not been active participants on this bitcointalk thread.

  Total XCP Transactions:     3257 transactions
Does this include the burns or have we been trading XCP like crazy rabbits?

You are all good as long as you have the private key of the address burning BTC. You can always check your balance on blockscan.com. No need to worry if you see your balance listed correctly there.

Could you talk to them to ask them for taking over these two groups or you have tried but they refused?

r00tdem0n has posted 2 useful tutorials on his /r/XCP sub... he doesn't seem to be a MSC squatter

I have not yet contacted them. Unless I am mistaken, since they registered the subreddits, they will always be moderators, and hence the conflict of interest cannot be completely removed.

Going forward, the best thing to do is be very active on the subreddit registered by the Counterparty team, to, at least minimize the ambiguity as to which subreddit is "the Counterparty subreddit".
