Confirmed, meaning 1.

Ok. I was at xxxxx09... Does that give extra points?  Grin

There should have been an extra reward for the last burn !

Agree Smiley I was not the last one though...

It was me:)

Oh man blockchain.info picked up your transaction a full 7 minutes after the lone unconfirmed burn!

Satoshi is watching over you.

Then I think I won't sell these lucky XCP ever

So is there a way/place/thread to buy and sell XCP/BTC ? Or are we going to setup a google doc now like early days of mastercoin ? Should we set it up now that the burn is over ?
Do people need to run the counterpartyD to send XCP ? I assume they don't need it to recieve XCP.

This is a good idea. You need to have counterpartyd running to be able to send, but it's easy to verify that XCP are sent just with blockscan.com

I have some experience running a spreadsheet for various altcoins before an exchange is set up. I'll get on it.

Sounds good, open it in the altcoin marketplace section as "Counterparty buyer/seller thread" and lets see how the book looks like Smiley

I am trying to install the Counterpartyd client on a Windows machine.  I have followed the instructions: http://counterpartyd-build.readthedocs.org/en/latest/BuildingFromSource.html#on-windows.  I am at the "Running from Source" step, but I get the following error in the cmd.exe box:

++++++++
C:\counterpartyd_build>C:\Python32\python.exe run.py server

Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "C:\counterpartyd_build\dist\counterpartyd\counterpartyd.py", line 397, in <module>
                int(config.RPC_PORT)
ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: ''

During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:

Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "C:\counterpartyd_build\dist\counterpartyd\counterpartyd.py", line 400, in <module>
                raise Exception("Please specific a valid port number rpc-port configuration parameter")
Exception: Please specific a valid port number rpc-port configuration parameter

++++++++

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I am so excited to get Counterparty installed!!!

I reread the original NXT thread and I think one of the key reasons the price of NXT did so well was that immediately after genesis block, a market price of 1BTC per million NXT was established. This was a big premium over genesis price.

I think I saw some price for XCP at .01 BTC on some external site, I like the sounds of that for a starting market price.

If we can all be firm and not sell for below .01 BTC, then that will be the new price.

Someone needs to purchase XCP at .01BTC, I would but I burned all my spare BTC

Any buyer and seller to start the after-burn XCP trade market at .01BTC?

James

I estimate 1,000 to 2000 people based on ~3000 total transactions

Is it credible to say that XCP should be worth at least half of what mastercoin is worth?
If so, that is currently worth more than 0.01 BTC!

I just posted this analysis in another thread.

Valuation

MasterCoin Price -> 80$
CounterParty Price -> 1$

Product
MasterCoin -> Under development
Counterparty -> Working Prototype

MarketCap
MasterCoin -> 40 Million
CounterParty -> 2 Million (approx)

You can estimate the Counterparty market cap at 25% to 50% of Mastercoin.

Which could value it at -> 10 to 20 Million.

Establishing some kind of cartel like NXT is not sane (and I don't believe it's doable with so much XCP holders)

Actually, if I've burend some BTC, it's because of the fairness of the initial ditribution and excluded the idea of some happy few shareholders.

Now, if you you want to make a quick buck, you're welcome to try, It's a free market at last. But if I were you I'd wait at least the GUI.

Why not 0.02BTC/XCP? Twenty times are essential for IPO.

Also, jimhsu's open bet doesn't show up on counterpartyd market

What's the transaction hash?

https://blockchain.info/tx/c1cfe0315493ac2cd140c2bf17aa8bbcf5cef265c22b6d6c3f453975e7875038

counterpartyd server printed out the details of the bet even though counterpartyd market failed to display it.

I tried taking the other side of the bet with this: https://blockchain.info/tx/b234808077dc30725e773f0e932bb5a96b0c55fc82d326313fbd9e4e76bff67d

Not sure if the bet was matched. Counterpartyd gave no indication of a match. But since they're both on the blockchain now any future fix should be able to pick it up?

I just fixed this problem on the master branch.
