Great news! I have talked to pock.io, a merchant that accepts cryptocurrencies in exchange for gift cards, and they would like to give us a trial on the site. Hopefully this will be the first move towards more merchant acceptance! We'll probably be on there tomorrow. https://pock.io/Nice! Although I do not believe in Smartcoin like some extremists right here, I am investing 1 btc in this since I believe it has potential. Here is why. There is a semi-big community here. Getting on bter and btc38 is realistic and the current price of around 1 penny for 1 SMC is underpriced. I don't believe it has potential to go far but I believe it has potential to beat other crap coins like Mooncoin, Mazacoin, and Takeicoin. If dev doesn't vanish, this coin has potential to go to top 20.

Come on... price of smart coin worth at least 0.001 to 0.003 after 4-5 months the price will explode ... Trust me  rewards will be halved approximately every 6 months (400,000 blocks). |

Wondering why SMC isn't being prepared to be exchanged on bter, particle and C2 have been added and we have as much votes as particle.
I guess another unfair vote, bter picks what coins it wants no matter the votes.

running smartcoind under linux. today i saw that difficulty is shown at 0.25. so i thought there might have been a change of the wallet while i was on vacation. so i built it again from github, and now i keep ketting:

smartcoin in ProcessMessages()
@dev: what's that error? and why is difficulty still shown @ 0.25? i think it should be around ~3 (according to different ppols i checked).

Did you pull the latest code? You may be on the wrong fork. |

i guess, yes. I just made a "git clone https://github.com/smartcoin-project/smartcoin" and compiled from the src folder. I just deleted everything except wallet.dat and the config. maybe that helps. |

The difficulty may be because the network hadn't synced fully. Try it again without the wallet.dat and see if that helps. |

We are second on the bter.com vote, but we are not added. It is not fair. Lets tweet them by saying that Btercom is not fair to SMC coin despite the fact that we are second!

Anybody knows anything about why we did not get added on Bter? Also why dont you update the main thread with those improvements you tell here? It is better because people look into main thread when they want to learn about SMC. |

Make a backup of everything in roaming directory and delete everything but wallet.dat, then download the new app and run it, let it sync everything form the beginning, it will take sometime then it should be fine. Did I say make a backup of everything in Roaming directory. |
