Why?
New wallet includes a number of amendments:

• Kimoto's Gravity Well - smart algorithm changes the difficulty of digging.
  Allows coin to protect against sudden changes hash power (anti multipool).
  Digging coins will be more predictable in the long term.
• significantly lower transaction fees.

Why update is necessary and mandatory?
Soon will be hard fork coin. Only new fork will be the official and continue working.
Be smart switch to the correct fork.

When?
Fork will come with mining block number 35000 for about 1 h
(depending on the network hashrate and its growth)

Current block number you find at:

• http://getsmartcoin.com/stats.php
• In your wallet Debug window -> console.
  Run command getinfo

How check wallet version?
In your wallet search option menu Debug window -> console.
Run command getinfo

Getting on cryptsy was great but SMC is currently at a price that I would consider to be about half of its current fair market value not including potential future gains.  I did sell some SMC on cryptsy until it dropped below 0.00009 BTC.  I won't sell at these prices.  Please stop dumping your SMC at these prices, thanks.

They told me that they will add new coin for free after they evaluate it. Before that we must send the introduction to admin@bter.com.

I think maybe we can make a translation and send to them if Dev does not did so.

I do have this updated wallet. It was published 10 days back, on the 13th. As I mentioned it in my previous post, I asked if there were any wallet upgrades the past two days.
I did use the conf file mentioned in the first page, but still was not able to sync and that is why I reached the community to help.

As far as I know it's 7 (CRYPTSY | COINMARKET | COINEDUP | CRYPTX | COIN-SWAP | SWISSCEX  | POLONIEX ) and it seems CRYPTX has removed SMC trading, I don't know if that is permanent. Of those 6 or 7 only Cryptsy, Coinedup and Coinmarket have seen noteworthy volume. Right now Mintpal is where a lot of the action is  and it has better rates than some and doesn't lag when there is a lot of traffic. 

I do agree we should support coinpayments.  Awesome initiative I can use for my own business, thanks for posting. I was looking out for something like this.

If we adopt in another market that will not rise the price ...

better to use advertising to find investors and have a gradual increase of the price.

Would not be good if the price jump for 1 day, this has to happen at least for 1 week .... then surely people will know that this is not a whale
