Azure Vertcoin Pool - DDOS reisistant P2Pool Node

http://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171/

No registration - No minimal payout!
To connect to this P2Pool node simply point your miner at:

URL: stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171
Username: Your vertcoin address
Password: Anything
    Fast facts about P2Pool

1. P2Pool nodes are all part of one single, big, distributed pool
2. When any p2pool worker on any node finds a block, everyone on all the nodes gets paid their share
3. There is no pool wallet, and hence no payout threshold. Payments go directly to your wallet
4. The distributed nature of p2pool resists DDoS attacks

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171 -u VbNPoxNeiNg6Bj9RwjjS4GazDbKLgUqNDP -p X

Agreed.  Just seems like cryptsy is the one heavily controlling the price of VTC at the moment.

cryptsy seems wants throw down VTC to hell. I repeatedly noticed wall for sale in 30 btc in any attempt to growth
and cryptsy have problems with deposit VTC. Still a feeling that the deposits comes one huge pile and sell all at one time

Its each day the same, they collect all deposit for 12 to 24 hours and then they release them all at once.
I follow this now for 4 days, each day the same game.
I send always small amounts of coins to see when the come in my cryptsy account, Short after the come to my account prices goes down.

Yea, We really need to start promoting moving volume out of there before it starts messing with VTC big time.  Its ridiclously obvious,  when other exchanges are buying for .0051 with decent volume, sell orders are going through on cryptsy for .0049-48 in 50-100+ VTC which makes no sense unless your intentionally trying to keep the price down.  We should promote one exchange in particular to keep the volume high somewhere other then cryptsy.

To all of the above.  STOP TRADING THERE.

Seriously why you trade there and then complain here? Four days you watch this? There are a half dozen options for trading VTC, none of them sit on your deposits for a day, most not but a few minutes, so pick up your marbles and split.

I do not trade there

It's not really.

Using the same settings as cgminer scrypt to vertminer 0.5.2... getting 7950@250kH/s and 280x@375kH/s

Tried 0.5.3 but my hash rates drops. I know some may experience faster but I don't really care at this point, 0.5.2 works perfectly.

No they can trade whatever they want but by akk means start a campaign to leave them en masse and keep doing it til people listen. But do not worry about VTC price, they can push it arouns a little in the short run the market decides.

Unless you are the largest exchange and convert it to a leper colony a la My Gox, but that is a different story altogether.

If you are hiding from BTC drop, VTC is shelter from the storm...been a little dippy tonight but overall rock slid while the majors bleed. Vert is like the T-bonds of the altcoin world. No one to dump, truly decentralized. Beautiful!

you are right. the problem is some will never leave. they just say "ohh i can get 0.00001 btc more there so i will sell on cryptsy"
money, ignorance and greed rules the world, sad but i'm afraid you can't change this.

I also do not trade there but i watch what is going on. You can´t ignore cryptsy is setting the price of VTC. All other exchanges only follow cryptsy.

Just opened new pool (vardiff, proportional, 0% fee)

https://www2.coinmine.pl/vtc/
Primary Node: mine1.coinmine.pl:6350

Second block found - BOUNTY: for user who will find 10th block I will pay 10 VTCs

We are very lucky (we are finding blocks with only 73% of expected shares!) so blocks are coming fast - 9 blocks so far and next block finder will receive 10 VTC!

Seems like it's been found Sad! Congrats to anonymous Tongue.

Indeed - transaction done:

http://explorer.vertcoin.org/tx/083aa49e064d63278bf2d245c771058521834a3c6e0ba40c6cedc0895f848779#o1

We are still lucky so I will extend bonus once again - user who will find block no. 20 will receive additional 10 VTC

feeleep

That is going fast (extreme luck recently) - only 5 blocks left for second 10 VTC bonus!

Second bonus achieved - user 'lestm...2' won 10VTC

Honest question time gang.

Why would someone ever "keep the price down" for any coin, by dumping it?

Doesn't that mean they *own a lot of that coin* in order to be able to dump it?   and if so,
Why would they benefit from this when they can just wait till it rises as high as it can and *then* start unloading it?

Aren't you just angry because it's not rising to a particular price that _you_ want to sell it at, and once you do there will be other people angry that "some fucker is keeping VTC down" at .006 BTC (or whatever their magic number is)?

Doesn't it make a lot more sense to assume that this "VTC hater"  is not being irrational and evil and trying to damage VTC, but is really just one or more of the early bigger VTC miners or someone who bought a boatload of it at 10 Satoshi or whatever, and is now very rationally choosing to milk all the later adopters in the market for easy and huge profit? By the way I own some VTC above the current price so I am having to wait this out like everyone else.

I don't think there needs to be a conspiracy to explain this, just plain old profit taking by higher levels of the pyramid taking it out of the lower levels.

Regardless of why they are doing it, the other fact is that they can't have an infinite supply of it to just sell forever at this rate, (unless they are some kind of massive mining farm, and even then it's not profitable forever).
They'll sell out of their stash sooner or later and then it might move again, if people haven't lost interest in VTC by then.

You need to have enough system ram...eg 8Gb would be a good start... to avoid HW error.
