buyers just showed up

People now realized that VERTCOIN is the future
1. more people mining, the difficulty goes up which is good for the whole system
2. more people buy rather than sell at these prices

NEXT - soon the price will be close to that of LTC, and up to 6 months will are catching

it should be noted that in these tough times for BTC and LTC
VTC no way back, unlike LTC that fell from 0,029 to 0,024

yes , VTC has quite potential and with all the ASIC war coming , few GPU only coins will survive .

which is the biggest VTC pool other than vertco.in ?

p2pool - use the scanner at https://p2pool.vertcoin.org/ to find a node close to you. p2pool acts as one big pool, so all the nodes work together to find blocks, leading to minimised variance - it is the biggest pool for VTC.

Light (SPV) desktop wallet now out in alpha! Please contribute to testing and validation by giving it a try, initially with small amounts of VTC while any bugs are shaken out. This is a full VTC client in the sense that it does everything you'd expect of a wallet, but it doesn't need to download and validate the entire blockchain:

When I go to this URL, all I see is an explination and headers, but no data under the headers at all.
Ive looked at this before and thought it was just broke, but now im wondering if it's me... Is it actually showing anything for anyone else?
If so, why do I not see any data at all, just headers...

Try http://scanner.etyd.org/ too - same function, different site.

If you're running noscript or another script blocker (or just have scripts disabled in your browser) it won't work - happens for me with noscript too. Try a different browser if necessary - they both definitely do work if scripts are enabled.

p2pool works another way than traditional pools, one basic fact must be taken into account to determine on which p2pool network to mine, larger (higher global hashrate) p2pool network results in higher (share) difficulty for miners thus it's harder to get work accepted and being paid. For this reason, it's better to split p2pool into more smaller networks. There are currently three:
1st - https://p2pool.vertcoin.org or http://lovok.no-ip.com:81 (for miners with more than 3MHs)
2nd - http://p2pscanner.no-ip.org or http://lovok.no-ip.com:82 (for miners with 1,5MHs - 3MHs)
3rd - http://lovok.no-ip.com (for miners with less than 1,5MHs)

p2pool proxy: http://p2proxy.net (if your hashrate is few ten or hundred kHs, you can also try this hybrid - like classical pool but with p2pool backend, if you are unsatisfied with direct p2pool mining)

Just a heads up, this one is on the 1st network. http://q30.qhor.net:9171/static/

Dont you think 3 networks are too confusing?

There really should just be one. If miners find the variance too high they can use a different pool, or maybe someone sets up a proxypool for vertcoin. I ported the proxypool project (from doge.st) to vertcoin but haven't had time to try setting up a payment back end/etc. I believe on saw on chat someone had done so but if they haven't publicly announced it here, I'll leave it to them to do so.

Edit: bengt said open the flood gates, http://p2proxy.net/ . If you want to mine on a pool that shares hash rate with the p2pool network but not run p2pool itself because of variance, then give that a try!

But why show our hand until we have to?

Also the fact that they are scrypt miners that can adapt to scrypt-N means they won't be fully optimized for mining scrypt (as much as they could be for a scrypt-only chip). Which means they will lose to their competitors. Which, if we then change our PoW, means money lost.

If you have suggestions or measures better what to solve
To be able to tell us
Then of course you are a good man
