Any reason for the price going up
Yeah, what's up? Just a headfake? Or is there some new development here? MON, PLX, merged mining in general...asics hitting hard now and are real. vertcoin is just responding to demand. more ppl are talking about it, more ppl are interested, more gpu miners are coming over. all of these things would increase the price in any coin. What's the relationship between vert and the ASIC miner threat? Scrypt GPU's will convert to Scrypt-N, X11 and other non-Scrypt coins. Overall increase in hashrate... |

Why is DRK getting so much attention? I feel that VTC is a much superior coin. VTC should get close to LTC's market cap within a year.

I sold at .0022 hoping that it would crash again to 0.0017, felt like an idiot now  oh that makes you and me i sold some vert to buy something at 1950 and to see it at 2500 a few days later is killing me |

If you have to pay for your electricity you cant mine it on a price around 20..22k level in EU. For me it´s 50% more "profitable" to buy than mine VTC. Also in US it should be for most of the miners not profitable to mine on these pricerange. In the same moment price was going from 20k to 25k diff grows from 245 to 265 I was wondering why so long price was so bad. After getting listed on Mintpal VTC got more trading volume A lot of people are reluctant to deposit significant amounts of money into Cryptsy. I can't really comment on that because I've only seen mentioning of missing funds. Never lost any there myself. Just long deposit times. Also, my KW/h cost is .059-.06 USD. Where do you come from ? Is you price regular or do you have a special contract ? I have to pay 0.36 USD / Kwh thats x6 of yours i was about to say wow im paying 0.19usd kw here where im at in Missouri those prices would be a dream |

Vertcoin will go to LTC price ... Not today but in this year for sure ... buy and hold !

LTC Difficulty will soon go to the sky and all GPU will jump to VERT ! Well certainly hope not, since that poor LTC fellow will be ASIC raped and exchanged for BTC to death. Therefore I expect not only much higher price, but a thriving community. Naive is the one who thinks that BTC asic adoption price rise will repeat itself in scrypt case. The only ones who'll keep the LTC not converted will be already big BTC asic players. LTC will turn (or already is) in just a BTC backup in case of disaster. That's all. B. Lee already approached DOGE with a merged mining idea (source: coindesk). Why would he do something like that if he wasn't expecting trouble? |

And how much do you think having this particular ASIC based backup will cost? 2.3% Having asic-s means that the currency/platform/whateveryouwannacallit now has its own hardware industry, and that industry just got a big chunk of money just to get on board. Think of it this way - you have a private business that produces a fixed amount of a certain type of commodity. In order to feed your kids, you want to sell this product so that you can be at least somewhere around the 0 or a bit on the +. Things go well and you get some money to reinvest. Now if you want to repeat the success, since you cant produce more than the fixed quality, you have to increase the price of the commodity. Either LTC price will go up or this will be the end of it, there is no middle ground here |

278k in 5 days. No idea but now there is someone with deep pockets with a huge reason to see that Vertcoin succeeds. With that large of a stack he has no exit anytime soon well ... he bought this amount... I did some as well (used backuped btc on black hour lmao), others did buy more ... many did ... many will... Generally those with light hands gave away own coins to strong hands  So now we can go to next step steady rise without seeing so many dumpers  Still price is not for what I could sell to pay for electricity that was used to mine them... so still this price is not yet acceptable as the high... I would consider it as my lowest... but still... I am sure the real price we can expect in the end of May and next month then next months after etc ... Simply current price is for those who got bored and believe that its enough for them ... well ... maybe those ones really have free electricity or other plans ... I will stick to vert. I am aware of pretty all coins around and still think that vertcoin is not yet enough visible as the great one... looking into future to see this changed |

Appologies to vtcpool.co.uk users - the new server we've migrated to has some issues. There is likely to be an extended period of downtime - not only will the recovery/troubleshooting take some time, but I also have to go away for a few days. I'll do my best to get it up and running before that happens, but it's possible the downtime will extend over the weekend if I can't get it done in time.
There are multiple, off-site backups of the database and wallet. No coins are at risk, hopefully you've all failed over somewhere else for the time being.

Roll Eyes Actually no problem because it prevents the market from overheating and from a to fast price increase. So it prety good the get the weak handed out of the market again. If I would sell at this price I would just be affraid not getting the possibility to buy back cheap again. |

Hey BORIS you guys may want to look into counterparty wallet technology, apparently they are implementing it into bitcoin and listening to LTB it seems this technology is all about asset and property distribution, things like dividends and stocks and such digitized.
