Note: Don't mine with Mingopool.com

Dev has been stealing coins on other alt currencies.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=492311.1840

Op, remove his from the mining pool list if his pool has been added.

Now that is dirty, but doesn't really screw over the miners does it? There is currently no solution for more than 2 coins being mined, unless you run your own node.

Yes it does, based on the current value of 365coin, he has taken away more than 10+ BTC

He even cleaned our transaction history in his mining pool (though we all have proof for it).

Damn... That's why I just try to stay off pools or nodes with a high concentration of miners. They are a risk from hackers and dirty operators.

Set up your own node and mine MON, PLX, and VTC ^_^

Ive heard that MON can be multi-mined along with VTC. The pool im using "give-me-coins" doesn't aparently do that.
Is there a different pool I should be looking at to get more value for my hashing?

Can't decide whether to stick with VTC/MON or VTC/PLX.  Need VCT/MON/PLX option.

Anyone have any tips on how I can lower my DOA rate on the p2pool? It's at about 15-20% consistently. I lowered my intensity from 19 to 15 and my hash rates drops significantly (like 20%) but my DOA % only drops slightly (down to about 12-18% from 15-20).

I am running 4 of the R9 290X cards with 8GB of RAM per rig. Consistent DOA over all rigs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried different p2pool servers?
How about adjusting your share difficulty?  That helped me get more consistent numbers.

Also, what are your 290X settings?  With mine I've found best hash rate with TC 27800, I 19, RAM 1500, GPU 930 (Elpida) or 1000 (Hynix).  It's very sensitive to GPU speed.  A bit too high and rate really drops.

DarthMuffin,

I have tried a few different p2pool servers all with similar results. It seems I am almost always one of, it not the, highest DOA of the group.

Here are the meaningful settings from one of my rigs:

"intensity" : "19",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"gpu-engine" : "850,1000,1000,900",
"gpu-fan" : "40-100",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500,1500,1500",

I think it is your internet connection speed/latency the cause of your problem if you change the intensity to 15 and have the same problem. You need to reduce the network load or enable QoS (quality of service, please google) in your router.

For P2Pool, the stale rate of 10-15% is reasonable. The efficiency (your rate of stable/other people's stable rate) counts.

Where are you mining? Do you have a private p2p node?

Thanks!  I got my own p2pool and already found a block of  MON and PLX.  For VTC, I don't expect to find a block for at least 24hrs but I mined a couple for amount of ~0.4.  I don't understand why I'm receiving ~0.04 amount as I thought I'm solo mining.

Also I'm getting a lot of stale shares.  I wonder if having my p2ppool node running in windows with intel atom is not a good idea.

I can confirm on that, the dude still owes me quite a lot of VTC.
He does not respond to e-mails, the whole pool site is full of lies (fake hash rates, worker stats, etc) and he locks clients accounts at random.

Hang in there! I was not getting anything then BAM! Kept getting VTC payments, then two PLX blocks found, then a MON block, and two more PLX. Keep in mind you are solo mining so a lot of it is luck.

Actually I am using give-me-coins pool with 4 GPUs.
I may not have optimal tuning though.
I actually have no idea how to solo-mine, it sounds interesting but just never figured out how to do it.

Start it up with -vertcoin2 or -vertcoin3 instead of -vertcoin when starting your miner. If you are merged mining, make sure you enter the parameters for each coin too.
